Take it slow. You might want to check out a phase 1.5 on the sticky threads as it gives some helpful pointers.

I lost 8.8 after two weeks on Phase 1. Now easing into Phase 2. A little nervous as I have never had this kind of success before.

Lost 10 pounds on Phase 1...better than I expected. I had 48 pounds to lose when I started, so 10 takes me almost 21% toward my goal. I just wish it could continue that quickly (though I know it can't). I want to weigh 124 by my birthday on June 24, 2014...a pound a week will just about do it!

I didn't lose that much in ph1 but I only have 20 pounds to lose altogether. I carry it all in my butt and tummy so this hopefullly is the best diet. I am in pase 1.5 now and I am wearing clothes I haven't been able to wear since last year so thats good. I can now button down my button down shirt and my stomach does not sit on the vanity when i put on my make-up. My goal is to be in a skirt or dress for Easter. I started out at about 134 and I don't own a scale because they just make me mad the way they fluctuate. Judging by my clothes is best for me. Perhaps I will weigh myself May 1 hmmmmm perhaps!

I am kind of a foodie and love good recipes. I found a lifeline for SB diet, phase 1 and on. You should check out Kalyn's Kitchen online. It has made thing so much easier and easier for me to stay on track. It gives me the option to look at the recipes I think I would like and place them in a recipe box. She has taken popular recipes and tweaked them to be SB friendly. I tried some casseroles and they turned out fabulous.

I lost 7 pounds the first week on SB diet Im so sick of Balsimic Vinegar on everything, I have to be honest I didnt like the reciepes I stuck it out just to be able to get the weight off. I know my body and I have a portion control issue, along with ( Pasta, rice, bread, rice) all those things killed me not to eat those first 2 weeks but if you can stick it out you do see results. It does work. Its just hard Plus I had a horrible headache.

Im new on here I have to day I love South Beach Diet (phase 1) is the toughest if you can manage to get through the first 2 weeks then you'll be successful. I was on it in the past and some people Ive talked with said its not a good thing to eliminate the Starches/Carbs in phase 1 but I feel that it helped me tremendously in losing the weight. I know my body well enough to know If I eliminate the starches I can lose. Thats my downfall the ( pasta, rice, and breads) and portion control. So Im back on SP to learn and incorporate a Healthier lifestyle. Im losing the weight slowly, I hope I can reach my goal by May.

I lost 11 lbs in my first two weeks on Phase 1. I think I stayed on phase one a little longer after that as well, and slowly moved into Phase 1.5.
