I got up to 211 as my all time high. Most of it in my abdomen and I was miserable.

You will find folks "chattering" all over the place, ie the stickied "lounge" thread....

Good motivation and goals! emoticon

I started again on Saturday, after a trip to the doctor on Thursday showed I had gained 22 lbs since the end of June. emoticon

So far it's going really well; no sb flu this time around, and the cravings haven't been much of anything at all (really wanted chocolate for a few minutes yesterday afternoon, but it's also that time of the month, and I just told myself no and moved on.)

I am already starting to feel "clearer" and better all the way around. I can't believe how eating poorly affects everything.

Working on a 40 lb loss by my 40th birthday June 26, 2013

I have been retired from teaching "off and on" for 4 years now. Last week, I went back to full time as a long term substitute. I am enjoying this immensely, but since I now have to dress fashionably each day, I have discovered that my lacksidasical approach to eating has to change. I cannot fit comfortably into the clothes I once wore in the classroom. I know that SB works, so here I am, back on phase 1

Nah, we're both in the same boat... the overweight one. And we're both looking for different topics!!! Dancing is a hoot. I love it and can't imagine not ever doing it.

yes there are other topics! is she telling you that you need to lose weight or are you helping one another. Because one is ok and the other is not. The dancing sounds like a lot of fun.
I too want to wear better clothes I get sick of my clothes being so tight.

Just to be a better me. I mean, let's face it. I hate how I feel in my clothes. I want to look good in my clothes... maybe even wear something that might be sexy, without feeling self conscious about the way I look. I do middle eastern dance, but its folkloric based, so I am covered mostly. But I have a cabaret costume that I would love to wear for a choreography I have in mind. I also don't want to talk about weight any more with my best friend. There are so many other topics out there, but that's where we always end up. There are other topics right???

Exactly I feel different this time, usually when I start I kind of dread it but I am pretty excited to start today. I am not a runner either i love walking but I felt good finishing and running. Good job on making it to phase 1 2nd week. Do you have any goals in mind?

Good luck... I am starting week 2 of Phase 1 tomorrow, and am very impressed that you are running in such conditions. I am not a runner, but have dreams of maybe someday. I've done the 5K training here, but went back to walking. I still felt fat and awkward and never seemed to get a good rhythm/breathing technique. I think that if you can push your body like you did with your half marathon and in those conditions, this should be a snap!!!

Well I was gonna start on monday, but I said what the hell lets start today. I did my 7th half marathon yesturday and managed to beat my record by 5 mins. I am pretty proud of myself, I even ran the last part. The conditions were rough, it was in the mid 90's and very humid. I ended up having heat stroke, at one point I wasnt sweating anymore. Thats bad!!!
I also noticed how my body needs me to catch up to my brain, bc my brain wants me to do all these races. But my body is tired and overweight. It scared me yesturday when my chest got tight. So i feel like I really pushed myself yesturday and wanna have the same attuitude with my weightloss. Thank you everybody glad to be back. Ps I hate chicken now
