There are many undiagnosed cases of gluten intolerance and sensitivity.

I actually was told by my Dr. they think I have a problem with gluten which is affecting my small intestine.So when I transition I will stick with rice or gluten free products!! Diane

Pasta is one of my triggers. Even a single serving messes with my blood sugar and a serving is nothing to me. I could eat 3 easy. LOL.

emoticon to the team! Something to consider: if you felt bloated after eating whole wheat spaghetti, it is possible you have at least a slight intolerance to gluten. Worth checking out when you transition from phase 1 to phase 1.5/2.

hi! at the beginning of july, i did phase 1 just to try it out and see how i would do on it. i admit i wasn't as perfect at it as some, but pretty on target. im not sure if it worked because neither of our scales would give me a consistent reading and no i didnt feel it in my clothes. but i usually dont unless i lose 20+ pounds. ive spent most of my life yo-yo'ing my weight so that initial "water weight" loss rarely applies to me. anywho... went off of it and tried a different diet to see if that suited me better... it didnt! i've learned that i don't like the way i feel when i have too many carbs. we had spaghetti tonight (whole wheat) and i feel so gross and bloated! it's my favorite dinner!! so monday i'm starting phase 1 again and this time i'm looking forward to it! i'm getting married in january and i'd like to lose 15-20 pounds before my final dress alteration. after the wedding, i'd like to lose another 25-30 lbs. from everything i've read, it South Beach just makes so much sense! and i think it's something i can actually stick with!

i look forward to getting to know you all and hearing any suggestions for success that anyone has!
