Great challenge! I have to watch my sodium due to an inner ear issue. So nothing processed, prepackaged, convenience foods and so on. All things are from scratch. Even without adding salt to anything, just using canned items, jarred spaghetti sauce, processed foods etc, I was eating almost 3500 mg a day. Now I am eating only about 1500 mg a day minimum and 2000 mg a day maximum and I feel so much better for it!

This challenge is a good one. I used to think that I can eat the frozen meals and was doing great. I didn't even think about the sodium. Generally, I know that too much sodium is bad, but it didn't register until I joined this group! I will definitely keep my sodium in check.

Also, instead of using salt while you are cooking, try some other ways to flavor your foods:
*Fresh or dried herbs *Lemon or lime juice *Cooking wine *Fruit juices *Low sodium broth
