How many of you have a set schedule for your cardio and strength training? Do you depend on just those times to get in your exercise? Have you ever considered how much "down time" you have that you could be utilizing?
Your challenge today is to MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR DOWN TIME. Squeeze in unscheduled exercise throughout your day. Here are some suggestions:
*While waiting for your coffee/tea to brew, do some hamstring curls.
*While waiting at the bus stop with the kiddos, do some ankle raises.
*While waiting at the copier/fax machine, do some side leg extensions.
*While on the phone or at the computer, do some sitting crunches.
*While waiting in traffic, do some butt squeezes.
*While making dinner, grab the spaghetti sauce bottle (or water bottle, etc.) and do some arm curls.
*While commercials are on the television, get down on the floor and do some crunches.
The idea is to make the most of your DOWN TIME. We all have chunks in our day where we are waiting. We can turn this useless time into USEFUL TIME.
