I like a cup of warm milk steeped with a decaf chai bag and a touch of stevia. I feel like I am drinking some forbidden latte or something. It also helps me sleep if I drink it right before bed (like right now).

Snacks are there for a reason - it keeps the metabolism stimulated. So if you find your weight stalling - look at that.

1 cup of plain yogurt w/ half a crystal light packet (or some kind of sweetener like agave) and a cup of fruit. I also add in an ounce of nuts some days or Kashi GoLean. Calories range from 180-300.

One serving of turkey pepperoni which is 17, slightly nuked in the microwave with a wedge of laughing cow cheese. It's chips and cheese! Calories - 105

Almonds - 1 ounce

Sliced cucumbers w/ hummus

Sliced red peppers w/ hummus or tahini garlic sauce.

Frozen grapes

I like whole mushrooms for a snack. I go to the deli section and buy all kinds of different olives (marinated with peppers and garlic etc).. run them thru the food processor and mix with a small amount of cottage cheese and use it with raw zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes..

Tea is big for me too.. we have a wonderful little tea shop and I love their chocolate mint for a evening snack.. I drink yerba maye mint or ali shan oolong during the day..

I have started back here in Feb 2012 after putting some weight back on. I lost 114lbs here previously and I now know I need this community and the food tracker to keep me in check.

I need some new snacks so I'm glad you started this topic. I'm going to sit back and take some notes.

Now that I am eating regular, well-balanced meals, I don't snack hardly at all.

The most I have on occasion in the evening is some herbal tea with a teaspoon of sugar and a wedge of lemon. Occasionally, I eat a small orange.

My focus is on the main meals. I am no longer hungry in between. I hope this continues!!

With love and joy,
Kelly

Happy Wednesday to you!

I don't know about everyone else, but there are times when I eat the SAME OLD THING time and time again. Why do we do this to ourselves? We think: "I know this one particular thing is healthy for me. Why try something new?" Having the SAME OLD THING can lead to veering off course. We get bored and the next thing we know, we are scarfing down a triple cheeseburger and super-sized fries.

Your challenge today is:

Share some of the healthy snacks that YOU like to eat. If you know the calories of your snack, include that with the description. Who knows? Maybe you will find something new to try or encourage someone that is in an "eating rut" to experiment with a new food.

Hope all have a FANTASTIC Wednesday!
