Did a loop around the mall today after going to the dentist's office, and to the Verizon off where I had hubby's cell phone disconnect without an early termination fee, thank you Jesus. (I took the death certificate in with me.) I am hoping to take a long walk in the neighborhood before too long.

I walked inside the local mall today with my friend Rita. Rita likes to walk inside the mall.
Normally I walk outside when the weather is permitting. But it is a hot 90 degrees and I haven't been able to walk in this type of weather, even late at night it hasn't cooled down enough to do so; especially the last two days.
We did 6 loops around the entire perimeter of the mall. According to Rita 4 loops = 3 miles. It took us 90 minutes to do it. She is much faster but since I am recovering and just starting out, doing a mile/20 minutes is pretty good for me considering. And it was a total of 4.5 miles, equaling out to 9,000 steps for me today.

Today I worked out on the treadmill for 30 mms this AM and was able to increase my speed from 3.0 to 3.2. This afternoon I did 2 sessions of 15 mins each for a total of 60 mins on the treadmill. I have taken 1 inch off my waist since starting Dec 23. I can see my collar bones and some bones are appearing on my chest. The fat is coming off from the top down. I have come down 5 lbs in weight. It keeps getting better and better. Thanks to the team and the South Beach Diet.

I just finished Leslie Sansones 3 Mega Miles with the stretchy band. I am going to shower and then I will walk the dog around the lake behind my house. That is about a mile. He will get another 1/2 mile walk late this afternoon.

27 minute jog on treadmill, 13 minute walk on treadmill, 5 minute cool down. I really don't enjoy the tread but need to throw in weight bearing exercise, too.

It has to be the size of a garbage can with a sturdy strap, capable of holding 200 pounds, with lots of compartments but not like a granny purse, attractive without being too "hookerish" to suit my 28 years old son's demand that I not be decked out like a street walker, with a zipper and not snaps, doesn't smell like a wet dog, and is in a color that doesn't remind me of vomit, bile, or worse.
