You are right, it is good to have a rest a couple of days per week, so I won't make it everyday. Some days I will go lighter with a few.

As for what I am doing: I do various things. Some days will be 4 sets of 25 with a 25 lb bell, but on my heavy days, I will use up to 50 lb. bells for double handed swings @ 6-10 at a time.

Sometimes, I do 4 sets (10,20, 30, 40) with light bells on the larger reps and heavy bells for the small reps.

I also do transfer swings, overhead presses, goblet squats, cleans and presses, etc.

I just got some Lauren Brooks dvd's and I love them. I did The Kettlebell Body last night. She has fewer reps in her workouts with heavier bells. She is the best from what I have seen.

Overall, you can do swings daily (slow twitch muscles only are being used), But if you do cleans and presses, etc. then you should take a day off from the arms, but you could still swing and do legs (squats, etc) the next day.

Slow twitch muscles can be used daily, but the other muscles cannot.

Slow twitch=abs, calves, forearms. (NOT biceps, quads, etc--those are the ones that need to a rest day.)

Just completed a kettlebell training DVD session tonight!

Since I'm a newbie, you'll have to explain what exactly you'll be doing w/ your 100 swings...
both hands? left / right? overhead press?

My understanding is that doing swings every day is NOT advised. (inadequate muscle recovery)

I've used kettleballs in a limited basis. I like the compound approach!

I have used kettlebells but dont have a routine for them where do u find a workout for them I also dont know how to track them in the fitness tracking can u help

Wow read your post and you reminded me that I have to get my kettle bell and workout
DVD out and use it. I have been using my Wii games latly but will add kettle bell routines also

Besides me, has anyone else on this team tried KETTLEBELLS?

They're fabulous strength-training-- AND combined with CARDIO!!

YES- you get strength-training and cardio together; and a full workout is 15 to 30, 40, 45 minutes! American Council on Exercise clocks kbells as burning 20.2 CALORIES/MINUTE.
