I wish I didnt feel those pangs of jealousy......when the 5 people I know who have had weight loss surgery this past November/December report thier massive losses. 25 pounds,30. 50, 55 & 100pounds all gone.

The jealousy doesn't last, but I do feel it briefly.

Yes. That is the book. I forgot to renew my books with the library so I will get a small fine as they were due Friday. I think it is only ten cents a day, and I know that the library needs all the help that they can get. I have read in the Bragg books and in some of the books that I have read about food combinig that you should eat fruit for breakfast, and you should eat it by itself.

Did you get into your craft room the other day?

Is that book by Robin Robertson? I've been trying to find it online. I think B&N has it for about $5!

That's so great Jen! I'm proud of you for sticking to your commitment. It's wonderful that you really like it and are able to see some real positive changes. I had been reading a book called Fit For Life where you eat fruits first thing in the mornings. Between the sugar from the fruits and the steroids, I feel like I'm about to explode. LOL! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with the book and the way you are eating. This give me hope too! :)

I am in my 3rd week with no meat of any kind. It has been fun to learn to cook this new way. I hope that you try some of the recipes in that cookbook. The one I borrowed is due back on Friday, but I think I will renew it. I'd like to buy a copy so that I can make notes in it. I have Sloppy Lentils in the slow cooker today so I can have them like sloppy joes tonight. I am making the kids theirs with hamburger. I have a recipe from the current Women's World magazine to make tomorrow. I am just leaving the meat out of it. I already feel better, and I am making better choices all around. I even look better. I started on a commitment for 30 days, but I like it so much that I may just make it my new way of eating.

I will lose this weight once and for all as I now ready and know that I am committed to changing my whole life.

emoticon Oh wow! Your meal sounds delicious. AH! Vegetarian huh? I'm in awe. I've been reading a lot about it lately and would love to head in that direction too. I just was watching a youtube video on raw food diet too. It's inspiring to see all the healthy, glowing looking people who eat clean. Especially now that I feel so yucky. lol!

I do love my crockpot! I have a crockpot full of beans for Mexican rice and beans tonight. I started eating vegetarian 2 weeks ago and I checked out a cookbook from the library titled Fresh From the Vegetarian Slow Cooker. I have made several recipes in it now.
