Like that bit of paper you trail out of the ladies with, I'm still hanging on.

Don't give up what you want most.

I'm so proud of the person I've become, with the Lord's help. I went from no self esteem to finally, as a person in my 60's, a person who has much confidence. It was a long hard road to learn to value the qualities I have been given. The ways in which I have been able to use my talents, and even my disabilities, for the good of others has given me a sense of purpose and therefore, worth. I have become a big believer that when you give, you get so much more back in return, whether it's tithing, or just helping others. When you give with joy you get back joy, ten fold.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME. Phil. 4:7

I started following the 17 Day Diet plan back in March (19th) with my husband. Between the two of us, we are down 173 lbs! We feel so much healthier, not to mention our levels for cholesterol went down to normal and our blood pressure is normal. I've been exercising since around the end of April... about 5 days a week... never would I have imagined that I'd keep up and totally change our lifestyle... We are proud!

So excited about the 17 Day Diet. It has truly taught me new ways of eating and being healthy. Although I've not followed the daily cycles since I finished Cycle 2 at the start, I do tend to choose only foods from all three cycles. I incorporate the added carbs as I can and we are living a 17 DD Inspired life! Getting us to goal!

This year I made a vow to be more honest about sharing my feelings instead of keeping them all bottled up inside of me. I'm proud that I was actually able to do that--most of the time.

I'm proud that I salvaged at least one month out of this year in working towards weight loss. I was tempted to wait until January of 2013. I'm proud I didn't!

I got fat one meal at a time, and I'll get thin the same way.
