Had a mini attack this morning. First one in months that has left me shaky.

Had a prolonged asthma attack yesterday. It just sneaks up on me and it's hard to realize what's going on. Took the inhaler several hours after it started and it was easier to breath but I was so tired by that point. Then in the middle of the night had a stabbing pain in my lower left side that woke me up. Probably a muscle spasm because I'm fine now. Hope today is better and I will do something to alleviate the stress in my daily life. There is a definite correlation between the stress and my attacks. Wish this were a curable disease. Anyway, going for a run tonight and will see how I do.

Back to having some asthma problems myself with shortness of breath. What a pain when trying to do a workout. Ready for spring weather I think.

Today is not a great day for my asthma. I used my advair, but think I am going to need my rescue inhaler today as well. The weather has been spiking between highs in the 60's-70's for 3 days and now it is down to the 30's. I did still work out, but want the asthma to calm itself down, as it is draining struggling to get in air all day.

The power to change, the courage to do, the will and drive to be exceptional lies within me, and by leaving my fears, my doubts, and my excuses behind, I embrace all that lies within me.

Asthma kicked my ass hardcore today. Took every medication I have for it, did every breathing exercise, tried every trick in the book. Went about 18 hours barely able to get a breath in. Only started to come back about 45 minutes ago. I don't know why it acted up so much today. Just hoping this is the end and I will be back to normal tomorrow.

Tired of starting over? STOP GIVING UP.

Prednisolone intake results in loss of magnesium and vitamin b-6. You might want to take supplements as both of them are essential for proper lung function.

Magnesium - The loss of this essential nutrient mineral with corticosteroid use may be increased. Muscle relaxation, blood clotting, and the manufacture of ATP (the body's main energy module) may be effected. Some nutritional doctors suggest 3-400 mg of magnesium daily for long term use (over two weeks).

Vitamin B-6 Some possible increased loss is possible with corticosteroid use. This vitamin's principal uses are heart disease prevention, morning sickness, asthma and PMS. Some nutritional Doctors recommend 25-50mg daily replacement to prevent deficiency if using corticosteroids for long term (over 2 weeks).

Weather makes it difficult - going from hot to cold - I have a constant cough and at work the temperature has been too hot which causes me to cough more than usual - had to take my pump a couple of times while I am work.

i missed the 1st, I went to the gym today what a bad idea 8 minutes into the cycle level 4 and I start coughing up a lung and it's embarrassing. I am not just the fattest person in the gym I the one that can't breath also, Oh well those skinny well breathing people more then likely don't feel as good as I do after 30 mins in the gym. 3 more days of prednisone alittle Anxiety but no stomach pain this time becouse I'm stuffing my face emoticon . hope tomorrow is even closer to normal. Oh and I have to remeber water lots of water can't stuff face if bellly is full of water.

It's been a tough year in South Texas. I use my Advair and other medicine and lots and lots of water. A lot of my exercise is inside.

Today my lungs are great! I take Symbicort. I also take Zyrtec for my allergies. Haven't had an asthma attack since last year when I first started taking Symbicort. I can workout again! I'm so thrilled.

I am SO happy to report that since I've been on the Advair my asthma is finally under control. No rescue inhaler for the past 3 weeks, no chest pain, and I feel almost like my old self again even though allergy season has started. Windows are closed, a/c is on, I'm working out everyday and I feel GREAT!

Please check in with us and tell us how your asthma is affecting you each day. I know mine has been a struggle these past few weeks due to rising humidity levels around here and dust. Harder for me to get a workout done without chest burning. How are things going for you?
