Stevie, Make sure you train fully unlike me. I would walk 30 mins on the treadmill and then get bored...I also recommend training outdoors if you can. Also, if you have a 5k planned... always train on that terrain. I know todays was in a park that had various inclines.

Well, I completed my first 5K this morning. The part we walked this morning about 1/2 uphill. I am not sure what the incline would be considered as. Out of about 100 people who did it... I came in about 6th from the end. I am totally ok with that. I completed it in.... 1 hour 7 minutes!!!!!!!!
I feel very accomplished today!! I am only a bit sore and well I am frozen lol. It was low 30's and a bit windy. I only wore blue jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt.
I think I will do this again next year as this was for a good cause.
