This my second time, I joined Nov 2011, that was it and I never return until now June 7, 2013 I been active this time, I am DONE my started weight 278 and I don't want that scale to climb higher 279 was my highest. To me this is my past and my future is the new me waiting to come out. and I am taking all the baby steps, and following what I am reading during each challenge. I am staying in range with my sodium intake, and sweet intake. AGAIN I AM DONE BEING THAT FAT GIRL!!!!!!

This is my 3rd time on Spark, and third time being a Done Girl..
I was one of the first 100 member's all those years ago, and I'm really kicking myself that I didn't take all the opportunities that Done girls provided me..
Moedancing (Maureen) has been a great inspiration to me both on here and as a friend on FB.. She is just the coolest person.. I'm not on FB anymore, but it's supportive people like her that make me want to return to it again, soon..
I remember the first Done dance, the D photos, and a lot of other cool traditions this team still implements.. It's awesome to see it all still going!..

Well this is my 2nd time coming back seriously. I've been back 3, but the very first time I joined, I hated the set up and didn't even log one thing, so I consider this my 2nd time.

I am logging my food and exercise. I was away about 5-6 months.

Must get caught up on many posts if I can. emoticon emoticon Plan to get out my boxing gloves and use my Gold's gym bag again.

I think that I've lost count.
I want to do it right, but I've been so bombarded lately with information on nutrition and fitness that I'm a complete wreck. I know what I have to do deep inside, but Im not very good at making myself do what I know is right.
Ugh. Hopefully I can get some weight off before my honeymoon!

This is my 2nd time on spark people. The first time around I never really weighed in or anything, just tracked the food I was eating, then started feeling bad because I was eating so much and quit tracking it. When I came back this time, I was ready! I don't let myself get discouraged when I've had a bad day, I just do better the next day. I also quit letting myself fall off the wagon for the entire day, just because I made 1 bad food choice. Just because I ate a taco at lunch doesn't mean I need to eat chocolate cake for dessert. I had to make myself realize that. This time I was ready and I've lost a lot of weight which has kept me motivated. Don't get discouraged and don't let yourself make excuses!

I can really relate to what DB, Mrs. J and Celeste say. This is like my 3rd time back and I'm at my highest weight ever. Lost my way completely in August and the scale mocks me every day. But at least we're back. That means we haven't given up and that's good news!

At least 4 or 5 times. I just fall off the wagon completely. I won't even say how many times I've gone back to Weight Watchers. I do like this website much more than the Weight Watchers one.

emoticon this emotiocon says it all..i've come back so many times..i technically never leave..but i may skip weeks...well there has been times when it's been more than 2 months..i love sparkpeople..i think it's the best tool you can use in your journey..you just have to want it bad..you have to give it your all and let this be your motivation and best friend on your long hard journey..you have to want this more than anything...you have to give it 100!!! this is what i tell myself..i do really want it....i am the only one holding myself back..yes it's frustrating...oh boy is it ever. it sucks to look back on the last year or two...and think man if I would have started then and stuck with it..i would be a whole new person...losing weight and keeping it off shows yourself discipline...and not just in weight loss..in so many other aspects of life. changing one major thing about your life is like a domino affect...it will all fall into place how it is supposed too. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

This is my second time. I joined back in 2010 and did awesome. I had lost 90lbs and was feeling great. Then I lost my way as I let life take over. Then I replaced my workouts with comfort food and the pounds came back with a vengeance. This time around I had to make peace with myself for gaining all the weight back, plus some. I know I'm human and I will make mistakes, but I don't have to let them control me. So now I'm back and more prepared. I'm calling this my Act Two, because it will definitely be better than Act One!

I think this is my 6th come back...maybe...I don't really remember any more. I first started in 09 and was doing great...until the divorce. Since then it's been an up and down roller coaster for me but, what's important is that I haven't really given up. I've just had set backs.

This is, I think, the third or fourth time. The very first time was shortly after having my little boy in '07. I was doing great, then hit an extended plateau and gave up. Another time I started to come back, but then lost my internet. This third and final time has been going for almost two years now. I lost 30 lbs before becoming pregnant (7 months along now), and am making sure to make non-weight goals to keep me focused on coming here and staying motivated, so that I can get back on the wagon after I recover from delivery.

I've just come back, too. I haven't been taking care of myself, and I'm currently at my highest weight ever. It's so frustrating to look back at photos from just a couple of years ago and wish I looked that way again. The funny thing is, I wasn't happy in my own skin then, either. It's my time for a change and a fresh start. I need to make different life choices, not just go on a diet. I can be the person I want to be! And so can you! emoticon

This is my second time. The first time around I lost over 80 pounds. That was three years ago.
But, I went by way side and gained 50 of them back.

So here I am again. I want to lose 50 pounds in total..10 of which are already gone.

I did it once and I will do it again! Hopefully I have learned that stopping my program leads to putting the pounds back on again.

This will be my 3rd time back. I am finally off the YoYo Roller coaster lost 28lbs on Atkins YAY... That being said I am now comign back to Spark bcs the food choices and options are just not going to work for me over the long haul. I started in 2007, lost 100lbs
Came back in 2008 150lbs heavier
Came back in 2009, 100bs smaller
Back and forth, ended up coming back in 2012 at 325. Returned in April of 2013 at 355. The heaviest weight in about 3 years. I am sticking this time. No giving up for this girl...

Too many times. The first time I started I lost 37 lbs and then quit and gained 54 lbs. so I guess this would be considered my second SERIOUS attempt.

Motivation Mantra: If you’re walking down a set of stairs and you slip on a stair, you get up and continue your walk down. You would never get up and then throw yourself down the rest of the stairs. If you've "fallen" lately, now's the time to get up, forgive yourself, and move on!

This is my second or third time. This last time I tried Weight Watchers online for a couple weeks and liked the SparkPeople much better so I came back! Last time I was on the Spark regularly I was just keeping track of what I was eating but not making any changes and I had lost a noticeable amount of weight. I'm trying to start out the same way this time around.

Since 2008, I have used spark and I am so proud to say that I am officially donewit, 121 lbs.

This is my fourth or fifth time getting into it properly and using all the trackers.

Life just sometimes gets in the way and I've come to terms with the fact that while tracking is extremely useful, as long as you begin to change your lifestyle and don't fall back into old habits then you shouldn't regain very much or shouldn't at all!

Every time I've stopped I've only gained 5-10 lbs and then started again because I know I'm slipping with keeping an active lifestyle.

You can't constantly be on top of yourself, it's just too much stress. But you can have little warning signs which mean you need to get yourself back on track.

It's weight maintenance. Not just loss.

About three or four times, I have logged in over the last couple of years and looked at an article or a recipe but this time I am using the nutrition tracker and the fitness tracker and I am loggin in every day. Only down 8 pounds so far but as they say you did not gain it fast it is not going to come off fast. Hang in there and keep persistant! I was feeling down today until I read this thread so thanks for posting! emoticon

my original account i had in 2007 i think. i delted it. then came back in 2010 i think. but i havent really been active on sparks or with weightloss. oops. i did start trying again in august but i only check in on sparks once in awhile

taking it 1 day at a time
starting these goals at 205.6lbs
1st small goal: lose 2 lbs done :)

2nd goal: lose another 5lbs DONE 4/17/12 current 197.2

3rd: hit 189! oh ya got this one! 12/21/12 im at 187.2

4th small goal: lose 5 more lbs

5th goal: hit 180!

hmm.. I think this is my 3rd time back.. I joined once awhile back but never was very involved.. Then I lost my login information and rejoined in November! I did really well for awhile but then the holidays hit.. Now I'm back and trying really hard to get back into it.. It's been slow going but I really want to succeed.. So Here I am again! Lost track of how many times I've returned. Just coming back now after a several month hiatus. I'm not going to say "this time will be different" though. I've said that every other time and then feel a huge disappointment when I fall back off. I'm back now....and that's all that matters. emoticon

I didn't leave, but I did go "underground" when I only checked in occasionally and tracked every third week when I went into maintenance mode for two years to challenge myself to keep my 60 pounds off. (Peviously i had always doen the loss regain routine, so it was a big deal to see how to manage it.) And now I want to lose the rest, which for me means being more active on Spark. I know I need the support and daily tracking to be successful. :-)

I've never really left SparkPeople - I still come around for recipes. But I just broke my 100 pounds gone mark!!! I want to get back into this team because I feel like you all will help me reach my goal of losing about 30 more pounds.

I think this is round number 3. Each time I create a new account because I am disappointed in myself for not sticking with it the previous time. Then it feels awkward joining the same spark teams again. My goal is to stick with spark people for one year, journaling all food----good and bad

This is technically my third time on Sparkpeople. First time in 2006 I wasn't ready. I didn't take advantage of all the cool tools, information, and groups here. Second time in 2009. I had already started losing weight, found DONE girls, and got very active on the site. I went to spark convention, went to spark rallies and made wonderful friends. I lost over 70 lbs over 3 years. Took a break while pregnant. Now I am here trying to re-lose 45 lbs after being pregnant and gaining too much weight. At first I am came back and didn't put in a good effort, but really being active on the site and finding support is really important to my success. You get what you put into to it.

I've been on and off Sparkpeople since 2006! I committed to it hardcore in 2009 and since then I've never REALLY left. I have my ups and downs, maybe go a few weeks without logging on from time to time. But more often than not, I've been interacting with the site regularly in some capacity for three years. There is a DEFINITE correlation between how much I'm on the site and how well I'm doing with my health goals!

my issue isnt so much leaving as it is starting and then not finishing. I have a bad habit of NOT committing to something and I need to really work on that. Its not fair to me or my son or my health! Lead by example right?

Maybe 4 or 5 times. I did so good the first time. After that not so good. And now I am back again and I want to make it work again. It is just so discouraging feeling so down and having my foot in pain all the time. I need to change my life.

I've come and gone at least 5 times. I'm looking to stay this time. I need to make my lifestyle change permanent! I find that when I'm on Sparkpeople, I do lose weight, everytime! It's when I'm on hiatus that the weight creeps back on.

This is my 3rd time coming back. I tried the site a couple years ago, and didn't have the dedication for it, than tried it again last summer and it worked out pretty well for me then. But after a small accident and lost of motivation I left in October, and came back yesterday. I think in order for spark people to be useful, you've got to be as dedicated to it as you are to losing weight for it to be useful and help you be successful. It's got to be a top priority to categorize everything, and workout, and everything else.

I have been back about 3-4 times and glad to be back. Really trying to stay on track and get it together. I decided to do it at my own pace this time and it is helping me lose the weight.

I get the chance to come back everyday and that is the blessing. Even when you disappear for weeks, months, even years, your account and this wonderful support system is waiting for you to return. What would you count as coming back? a day, a week a month in between your last login? It doesn't matter. Rather than focus on the spans between, celebrate each and every day you DO come back. I'm back today and that's all that matters!
