Well I have heard the third time is a charm, so here we go again. My last time was great. I was doing so awesome and then have some severe TOM complications and simply gave up. Maybe I will keep it up this time.

A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit.

hmm.. I think this is my 3rd time back.. I joined once awhile back but never was very involved.. Then I lost my login information and rejoined in November! I did really well for awhile but then the holidays hit.. Now I'm back and trying really hard to get back into it.. It's been slow going but I really want to succeed.. So Here I am again! Good luck to everyone

Lost track of how many times I've returned. Just coming back now after a several month hiatus. I'm not going to say "this time will be different" though. I've said that every other time and then feel a huge disappointment when I fall back off. I'm back now....and that's all that matters. emoticon

I didn't leave, but I did go "underground" when I only checked in occasionally and tracked every third week when I went into maintenance mode for two years to challenge myself to keep my 60 pounds off. (Peviously i had always doen the loss regain routine, so it was a big deal to see how to manage it.) And now I want to lose the rest, which for me means being more active on Spark. I know I need the support and daily tracking to be successful. :-)

I think this is round number 3. Each time I create a new account because I am disappointed in myself for not sticking with it the previous time. Then it feels awkward joining the same spark teams again. My goal is to stick with spark people for one year, journaling all food----good and bad

This is technically my third time on Sparkpeople. First time in 2006 I wasn't ready. I didn't take advantage of all the cool tools, information, and groups here. Second time in 2009. I had already started losing weight, found DONE girls, and got very active on the site. I went to spark convention, went to spark rallies and made wonderful friends. I lost over 70 lbs over 3 years. Took a break while pregnant. Now I am here trying to re-lose 45 lbs after being pregnant and gaining too much weight. At first I am came back and didn't put in a good effort, but really being active on the site and finding support is really important to my success. You get what you put into to it.

I've been on and off Sparkpeople since 2006! I committed to it hardcore in 2009 and since then I've never REALLY left. I have my ups and downs, maybe go a few weeks without logging on from time to time. But more often than not, I've been interacting with the site regularly in some capacity for three years. There is a DEFINITE correlation between how much I'm on the site and how well I'm doing with my health goals!

my issue isnt so much leaving as it is starting and then not finishing. I have a bad habit of NOT committing to something and I need to really work on that. Its not fair to me or my son or my health! Lead by example right?

Maybe 4 or 5 times. I did so good the first time. After that not so good. And now I am back again and I want to make it work again. It is just so discouraging feeling so down and having my foot in pain all the time. I need to change my life.

Making little improvements every day. Loving the lifestyle change.

I've come and gone at least 5 times. I'm looking to stay this time. I need to make my lifestyle change permanent! I find that when I'm on Sparkpeople, I do lose weight, everytime! It's when I'm on hiatus that the weight creeps back on.

This is my 3rd time coming back. I tried the site a couple years ago, and didn't have the dedication for it, than tried it again last summer and it worked out pretty well for me then. But after a small accident and lost of motivation I left in October, and came back yesterday. I think in order for spark people to be useful, you've got to be as dedicated to it as you are to losing weight for it to be useful and help you be successful. It's got to be a top priority to categorize everything, and workout, and everything else.

I get the chance to come back everyday and that is the blessing. Even when you disappear for weeks, months, even years, your account and this wonderful support system is waiting for you to return. What would you count as coming back? a day, a week a month in between your last login? It doesn't matter. Rather than focus on the spans between, celebrate each and every day you DO come back. I'm back today and that's all that matters!

I think I have been back probably 3-4 times. I always let little things get in my way and side track me. Heck sometimes even the big things get in my way.. I stopped being active on the site when I moved to California before my husband (boyfriend at the time) deployed.. Again when he got back and we got married.. And I cant even guarantee I will be that active with the site once he deploys again and I while I get through Pharmacy tech school... But in the long run I always come back so I hope that's worth something...

I have been on her since 2007 i think. I have come back something like 3-4 times. It never occurred to me to start another account. I guess I am simply one of those people who is not big in to lying to my self. Just because I don't have to note my weight gain does not mean I didn't gain it. As a mater of fact the occasional check ins to track my weight even gain was very helpful. I was able to see when it came on fast and when it was slower.

I feel different this time around. Like it is not a chore and I am not a victim. I am not deprived I am simply eating like the rest of the world. Normal people dont eat 900 calories meals multiple times a day every day. I just want to be normal so I eat less. Just like people with higher incomes dont go shopping for cheap trinkets all the time. They use what they have and save up for nicer things. So I stopped buying every interesting Dollar find from target dollar section or the dollar store and amazingly my bank account grew LOL.

So I am seeing this current journey like the shopping one. Small losses accumulate in the bank to make big ones. I am seeing a piggy bank (no pun intended but it is very funny when you think about it LMAO) And every week those few pounds go in the slot. Some times crisis happen and you shake a few bucks out but as long as I put in more than I take I will be better in the end.

it takes courage to push yourself to places you have never ben before

Technically my second... I found it before and never really took it too seriously... Only joined and never browsed.... I probably would have succeeded earlier Had I taken the site seriously. But I'm back and ready! Wooo!

I'm making the change that I wish to see... I'm not putting it off for tomorrow when I can do it today!

Hmmm, well this will be my 3rd or 4th time, since I originally lost 125 lbs between 2008 to 2010. And (GAH) gained it all back. But this is the first time I've been back for more than a day or so. I am committed to getting healthy, even if it takes a very long time.

I am not giving up, ever. I am not focusing on how much I weigh now or my goal weight at this point (thus no ticker right now) but adding exercise every week, tracking my food and staying within my nutrition goals. Maybe I'll put one back, maybe not.

I had started Sparkpeople in 2007 and managed to lose 50lbs. I then got married and gained the weight back plus more after my 4th son in 2010. I came back after that and didnt do anything with it. But now Im back and my goal is to lose and keep it off. So i guess this is my 3rd time.

I've only stopped and started this thing more times than I can count. My evening meals are SUCH a struggle. I'm never home, I'm always running around doing several different things, in situations where I have little to no control over what is being served for dinner, and the temptation is EVERYWHERE! When I have an evening without obligations, it's friend time and that means going out for drinks and/or dinner...and THAT doesn't help things either. I currently live with my parents, so inviting friends over is not an option. I know I will figure this out. And it's all life. I guess I'm feeling a little defeated today. Struggling with feeling "deprived" and probably a demon or two that eating has helped me cope with in the past. But I'm getting married in 9 months and I am DETERMINED to lose 50lbs between now and then. And KEEP it off...

I joined in 2010 then fell off at the end and was 99% gone for all of 2011. I came back at the end of the year and went dormant for a few weeks twice in 2012. I am determined to spend fewer weeks away this year.

This is it. I've been with Spark since December 28, 2010. My level of involvement has waxed and waned depending on what's going on in my life, but I've always stuck with it in at least some weak way.

What a journey! Lost the baby weight in 20 days, maintained for 4 months, then lost my way for 2 months. Clawing my way back to the starting line. Only gained 6 pounds while away, but feel worse than I have in years. It's not about the scale, it's about me, my overall health, and how I feel. Let's do this!!!

I'm not even sure how many times I've joined and quit Sparkpeople. Maybe 4 or 5. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one who has joined and quit/given up over the years.

This is my third time and I've been consistent for well over a year. I have kind of stopped losing weight, but I haven't regained anything significant.

This is my 3rd time.
I never really left but I stopped the journey for months at a time.
In 2008 I got serious, tracked my food, exercised, and lost 80 pounds in a year. Stupidly, I stopped. The outcome was painful but predictable. I've regained 50 pounds.
Starting the journey again. Letting go of the past and fearlessly starting again with planning and tracking my meals.

I've never really left but I drop off the radar every now and then; sometimes for months at a time.

I joined in 2007. The first year wasn't so much about me losing weight as it was about me exploring SP, making some friends, and learning. So in 2008 I got serious, tracked my food (religiously), exercised, and lost over 60 lbs in 6 months. I just followed my plan. Sure I had some down days but I was soooo motivated nothing was going to stop me. Once I felt good and fit....I stopped. Biggest mistake ever!

For me, once I'm in my groove and seeing results, I am a go-getter. I shift my obsession from eating and being lazy to planning and tracking my meals and exercising. I guess I can't do anything normal. It has to be an obsession with me.

The best thing I learned is Consistency = Success. No truer words have ever been spoken. I have not been consistent since late 2009, therefore I have not been successful.

I'm still working on that....

Good luck!!!!!

I'm on my third time coming back ... maybe fourth depending on the definition. I really thought the last time was the final time. I kept it going for months, and lost a lot ... and then life got in the way. I'm not realizing that the more I focus on healthy habits, and less on how much weight or many inches I have lost, the better off I will be.

Begin anywhere!

I've left and come back...well.. a few times. This is the first time, though, that I have come back under the same account. I am taking accountability for the 6 lbs I've gained in the 5 months I haven't been doing what I know I need to do, and making a renewed goal to get it right in 2013. There's no point in beating myself up at this point, it doesn't do me any good, so I just gotta do what I can, right?!

I have never really left...but...if you count the number of times that I fell of the wagon and drug myself back on...that would probably be more times than I could count! Even when I wasn't logging my food and exercise and coming to the site every day...SparkPeople was still in my head. I knew I should be doing better...but I wasn't. I was being defiant....to myself!

I like that saying, "Never Surrender! Never Give Up!" I have to slap myself around, sometimes, and give myself an attitude adjustment. Just keep on plugging!!! You can do it!!!

1,812 times.

I come back to SparkPeople every single day, Katie. ;) Sometimes, most times, it's simply so that I can research and announce the Done Girl birthdays.

Showing up is 1/3rd the battle. Having a plan is another third, and taking action is the final piece. There's nothing wrong in coming back - I celebrate it with you! :)

Hugs,
Jocelyn

Aww, thank you for your precious words, DONE girls. Especially yours, Joy - I appreciate you for your upbeat attitude.

I just have trouble loving myself. I have a real addiction to food and I know that the only way to keep it going is to just keep coming back.

I have been back and forth several times. I never give up - just life gets in the way. I have gone from 200-190's-180's-220's and now I am back at 203.2. Never give up . . . just remember that you are choosing to make a difference in your life each time. Nothing works out 100% all the time. Just keep going - don't give up!

I've been back three times. Twice on this account, but I never actually left the second time. I kept logging in and spinning the wheel, I just quit doing anything else until I started getting my mojo back.

This is my second and last time.

The first time, I lost 60 pounds, but it was for the wrong reasons, and I just didn't have the drive to continue during the cold Wisconsin winter.

This time, I lost the weight because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I just wanted to be healthy...for ME. Last New Year's Eve, I celebrated with a frozen pizza, wearing my size 26 pants and top.

This year, I'm ringing in the New Year in a size 8 slinky Calvin Klein one-shouldered black dress, and making sure I look smokin' HOT.

There is NO WAY I ever want to go back to that 285 pound body, so I'm here to stay and maintain those healthy habits!

This is my third time.

When I first joined SP, I didn't use it. The 2nd time, which was last year, I actually stayed on track and lost weight and actually reached some of my goals. Unfortunately, I let school and work become an excuse and gained most of that weight back. However, since I've lost weight before using SP, I know I have it in my to lose weight again! Don't lose motivation! Just get back on the wagon and you'll see results!
