Thanks Ali - eat before I go why didn't I think of that! emoticon Thats a great idea - I will make sure I have something in my bag too to nibble on if I'm tempted.

My suggestion: eat before you go. Do not go there hungry.
Bring some healthy snacks to eat, if you're tempted to munch. focus on the other things there, crafts, etc. And allow yourself one small treat, like the chestnuts. Good thinking, telling your friend you're trying to lose weight. That will help keep you both in check.

I hope its ok to post this but I am going with a friend to a local Christmas fair tonight. I've never been before but I fear it will be full of sweet treats and temptation so I need a little support.

I love roasted chestnuts and I am thinking that they will be the healthiest option if I want to eat something while I am there. I also plan to tell my friend that I am back to trying to lose weight so that she can help to support me while I am there. What else could I do to help me resist the other food and drink there?
