YOU ROCK! Emotional eating is difficult to overcome, but next time will be even easier! I will be praying for your daughter & for you! Sometimes kids just have to take the difficult path & it's best to just let them take it & hope that they stay safe. You are DONE FAILING!!!

Thank you all for the encouragement, and condolences...it's great to know that others understand why that is such an accomplishment to me. I read a quote a short time back, on this site, that sais "If hunger is not the problem, then eating is not the solution." I'm trying REALLY hard to put that into practice!!!

Wow... congrats on the 41+ pounds gone forever. You're doing great. Sorry to hear about the stress with your dd, but it is awesome you didn't give in and do that dreaded "emotional eating". WTG! :) Kit
Congratulations on overcoming this bout of emotional eating! It's always hard for parents to let their kids go (I have to watch my mom do it every fall, even though I come home at least once a month for the weekend). I hope your daughter realizes just what she is getting into.
You're doing a great job. Keep up the great work!

Good for you! You stayed strong! I'm sorry about your situation, I did the same thing to my mom on my 18th birthday. I've felt guilty about it ever since I actually grew up! But we didn't let it come between us, we are still very close.

I am sooooo happy with myself. It's been a horrible couple of weeks, culminating in my only child, who is not quite 18 yet, moving out of my home, and into her boyfriend's house. BUT...I did not use that as an excuse to binge (which is my usual pattern) I kept my excercise time up, my calories down, and the scales reflected my dedication...6.6 lbs in the past 2 weeks...a total since the beginning of April of 41.2 lbs...I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO DONE.
