To any who are interesetd.. I'm starting the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred tonight!

I was going to yesterday, but after a night shift I ended up skipping sleep to take my oldest to the doctor (he'd gone to the ER over the weekend due to hives, swollen hands and feet and severe fatigue!! Turns out to be a virus and passing, thank goodness!0
But...on no sleep I wasn't in any condition to start a hard core program such as this. But today I'm starting once I get home from work. (yes, I was getting out of work Monday morning at 7:30 and then back on Tuesday morening to start a 12 hour day shift...a whole 24 hours off! Can you see why I waited to start?)
Wish me luck! And join in on the 30 day challenge if you'd like! I could use the company!

I removed the sticky from this thread. I've been WAY too inconsistant in keeping this thread going!
So sorry for that!
I've had to cut down my time online at owrk (and with the economy how it is, I'm not going to risk the income) So I'm limited in getting on here to times when the boss isn't here...evenings, midnights and weekends!
I will be more active during those times though!

Thanks SAndi for doing such a great job with the daily challenges!! You are awesome! Do you like doing them or do you want me to take over again? You're doing great, so I'll leave it up to you!

I am going to have to get a pedometer it sounds like though... LOL!

I was thinking for today...each time you go to the bathroom (a lot if you're drinking your water!) do 10 calf raises! See how many you get in for the day. And don't forget to track at the end of the day!

4/4 & 4/5 DAILY FITNESS CHALLENGE

OK so it's the weekend! Sorry for not posting yesterday! Try to get in 10,000 steps!!!

Drink your 8 glasses of water and don't forget to stretch!!

30 minutes of cardio, your choice.

The weather is nice here, I plan on moving a lot today! House work and yard work. Hope to take a 2 mile walk on the canal if there is enough time in the day! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Get out and do something for yourself. I almost forgot I have a bike. I have been REALLY trying to get my 10,000 steps in each day. I have a really good pedometer (Omron) and I put it on right when I get out of bed every day.
Sometimes I walk in place still trying to get my steps in...my DH keeps asking me if I have to go to the bathroom emoticon emoticon
I walk a lot...outside, but I read recently that 10,000 steps is equivalent to walking 5 miles.
I recently bought a Leslie Sansone walk at home DVD...it has helped me get my 10,000 steps in and I have even lost some more weight.
5 miles is a long walk, but I am doin' it!!

4/3 Fitness Challenge

Hellooooooooo.....me again!!

I managed to get in 10,000+ steps and I raked the yard for 45 minutes, did 20 toe touches, 20 side bends!

Today please try to get in the same steps, 10,000 and 30 minutes of anything aerobic of your choice!
Drink your water and stretch, very important!!

So far...
I've done 24 calf raises, 25 toe touches, 150 wall pushups and have 25,851 steps. But it's only 9:50. I'll give my total steps for the day later.

Judith, that is excellent on the exercise. I am glad you are going back only PT to Target!

Well, I got in 2 miles on the canal today, it was gorgeous outside! I also did 2 hours of pulling weeds, raking, and helping DH burn in the back yard. Then I went to my son's 30th surprise b'day party and totally blew it. I ate cake, had too many drinks, but enjoyed every second of it!!!!

So far, so good.

30 mins exercise - walking ALL over Target since I went back to work there today after being off for two months. The rest was great but I have missed the paycheck. However, they know I want part-time only and cannot keep working seven days a week as I have for the past two and a half years.

I will probably do another 30 mins of aerobics (as soon as my dinner settles) and already have in 12 glasses of water.

Today do two sets of standing side bends with towel. Go slow and really feel the muscles working!
(this is shown in the strength training demos for core work)

Don't forget to track!!!
