Had a cold also, and had to go out of town unexpectedly. Survived on some strange crap, but I tried to watch the calories. The scale wasn't mean t me this morning, so am glad. Still here till d end.

smiles at the one who gave herself only 4 days off.....
I gave myself 7 days off due to a horrible cold that had me in bed most of the time :)

okay... I gained 6 lbs in ONE week... its true... weighed myself this morning.
Physically the cold is practically over.... the scale is a different story LOL. hugssssssssss

and my throat feels like its on fire from all the coughing emoticon


head pounding, stuffy swollen runny nose and more coughing emoticon



I am sipping on hot tea right now to wam up my soar muscles in my THROAT from coughing so hard ... emoticon

emoticon for an hour or so per day I would spend DE-CLUTTERING room by room emoticon




and I am soooooooooooo PROUD of the outcome emoticon

and PROUD of the crap I threw out

and PROUD of the fact that I found a large bottle of liquid detergent that I didnt know I had...... all because I decided to detail the house room by room LOL.



I am telling you it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL to accomplish things emoticon


It is fun trying to remember WHEN was the last time I used something OR trying to remember what was IN the old boxes lol emoticon



Realizing that EVERYTHING has its OWN place



and that there really IS a place for everything if you put forth the work.... emoticon





and bask in the after glow of ACCOMPLISHMENTS! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm fighting off a cold too, taking Zicam every 3 hours. I think I can out run it!

I am as Sick as a dog.... an expression but true*



It started Thursday.... light sneezing here and there at work and by Thursday evening I was sick!

Late Thursday evening I was DONE! I knew I wasnt going into work on Friday morning.


Friday morning, brought so much over the counter meds that it almost hit the $50.00 mark.

Friday evening I had to go back and return a few items to buy some different items to help me


and of allllllllllllllllll the over the counter meds I purchased,

what helped me feel HALF WAY human was a nasal inhaler called: Vapor Inhaler

it is about 2 inches long, round tip and place it on the entrance of the nose and inhale.

it has some kind of metholatum in it or something and I could breathe for a spell.



Can you believe it that I am on vacation and sick as a dog...

Bright side: I forced myself OUT of bed to detail completely one bedroom and back to my own bed I went. :-)

I didnt want the day to go to waste and not use it in some productive manner.

head hurts
sinuses swollen and hurt
nose hurts
skin around nose tender and irritated
throat hurts
runny nose
swollen nose inside
coughing
fever
etc....

lawrd ....shakes my head.

I am totally drinking adult beverages on Christmas Eve (staying home, having my in-law's over), Christmas Day (hubby will drive) & NYE (we have a hotel)!

I'm really looking forward to letting loose a bit, I've been so good since August when I decided to take control of my health & start eating better/working out. With the exception of my vaca to Mexico in October!

Each time i post here i start with "i can't believe there are only ___ days left in 2012!" but this time i really mean it! 2013 will be here before we know it!

I'm looking forward to taking some time off from work and being with family. I also have fun plans for NYE. I've been working hard towards my weight loss goals and plan to be there with in the first 1/2 of 2013. My next focus will be on toning. I'm happy to be seeing the scale move, but want to be more toned! I guess that will come with putting more effort into working out.

How's everyone else doing with their goals?

1. emoticon Send at least 3 emails per day or reply to 3 sparkpage journals to support other spark members to help take the focus off ourselves... give unto others kind of thing, smiles.

2. emoticon Drink 2 cups of water every 2 to 3 hours to flush the body and help us stay hydrated and full

3. emoticon Eat 16 ounces of vegetables per day and/or try a new healthy food.

4. emoticon Go for a walk 3x per week for as long as you are comfortable with.

5. emoticon Offer to help out a neighbor, family member or co-worker once per day.

6. emoticon Give of yourself to your community.

7. emoticon Read a healthy article and share the highlights with the group.

8. emoticon Document your 15-day journey in detail on your sparkpage for accountability.


9. emoticon Create a do-able plan for yourself or create a checklist of things you need to do but have been procrastinating to do them and check them off as you go down the list.

Example: declutter that extra bedroom, or living room or closet... donate to a non-profit agency who can use those items to help others.

Eueko98..... its okay... I was stuck for 2.5 weeks and added more veggies and thats when the scale moved LOL smiles.

I was stuck because I wasnt drinking enough water and I was eating MORE food at night in bed.... hard to break ole habits but we can at least IMPROVE our food addicts, smiles.

I am rooting for ya, yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, guys! Really, JADE!?!?!! Ok... so, I was looking at my goals for this challenge and my goodness: I've done NOTHING. No exercise and have actually gained a net of 9lbs. Whoa. Regroup! I sincerely have not been focused on weight loss being that I've been on FINALS mode for the past maybe two to three weeks. BUT... it's still time to make a change. So, here we go.

Plan:

-Do at least 10 to 20 mins every day, 4 to 5 times a week.
-Get to and stick to a 205-215lb (or less) range by Jan 1st. I got this. Only need 4lbs to get to 215. Should be done in a week or so. Been kicking BUTT this week.

Ok, here we go. Let's DO this, Jade!!!

I've met my goal already this week woohoo....I did 2.2 miles at lunch today on the treadmill...I ran 1.3 without stopping @ 12min/mil pace woohoo..and that was after having my morning workout 62 minutes 33 stairmaster/30bike...so now its going to be just working hard the remainder of the week!!!

Nothing will derail me!!! I might hit a stop once in a while but I will not fall of this ride!! I feel too good to stop!! I have made it 1/3 of my goal in just 3 months.. so for the last 21 days....after I reach my goal this week!! I think I would like to concentrate on increasing my running...

well I took both days off this weekend from working out....unless you call walking around the mall for several hours true exercise :)....back on track tomorrow morning!!!

Euek- I'm glad the soreness is getting better! Keep up the hard work, you'll be at your goal in no time! I hope you took your measurements, I've noticed that even if the scale doesn't move the inches can be melting away!

The weigh in is fast approaching, and I'm hoping it'll be good, the muscle soreness is getting better, so I hope that translates to the scale. Have a workout scheduled for tomorrow, and rest for Sunday, planning the meals for when I go to work, so hoping for good results.

I had a 1/2 lb loss this week - I'll take it! Like you said, Joyful, Baby steps!

This weekend I'm going to catch up with an old friend, visit another friend with a new baby, spend time with my daughter and husband.

I'm going to workout tonight, take a rest day Saturday then workout Sunday. I will get my laundry & housework done. I will make smart food choices - even though I will be in a social setting with food.

Yesterday I did well with my water in-take. Well over 8 glasses, but that's usually the case. i drink water all day at work and then usually have 2-3 glasses of water or seltzer at home. I stayed with in my weight watchers points values and worked out for 50 minutes, doing a Denise Austin DVD.

My goal for the rest of the year is to get down to 165. I'm up a couple of lbs this week, I'm hoping to drop them by Friday, my weigh in day. I'd hate to change my ticker to a higher weight...

I will achieve my goal by sticking to my points everyday and working out 5-6 times a week.

I have already planned my workouts & rest days. Tuesday is my scheduled rest day and I have the option to take Friday if needed. The other days - no excuses!

I've been feeling terrible between on and off sore throat/phlegms and then my stupid cycle---agghh what a crappy last week!-- I only missed workout out on thur/sunday despite feeling yucky --but what a struggle!! I am on the edge of reaching "onderland"--- OMG it is so so close-- I stepped on and was 201 this morning....I guess I better get my camera ready.-- I am 39 pounds down since 9/11 so I have no reason to be feeling discouraged but thanks to my hormones I keep thinking about how far I have left to go!!!! Please send me some motivation!! My goals for the remainder of the week are to get my cardio in each day including sat/sunday!!! I can do this darn it!!!

Euek098 - let us know what you think of Insanity. I've been doing a lot of Jillian Michaels workouts & my stength has improved...but Insanity totally intimidates me!
