Chica125, I used a 3 lb set of dumbbells which is what's recommended. There are some exercises you could use heavier, but others that nearly kicked my butt at only 3 lbs. If you're working out on a hard floor, you should also get a yoga mat. Walmart.com has a set from Jillian that's a yoga mat & set of 3 lb dumbbells for only $12.96. That's what I got. I also need to use a folded up towel under my knees for girly push-ups.

Krista, same thing with the pain after the first workout. I read on the 30DS team that this is common for a lot of people. It happened to me and I had one heck of a time walking & getting up from a sitting position. The pain lasted for 4 days, gradually decreasing each day and then on day 5 it was gone. I still pushed thru the workouts each day and after the first few minutes it actually felt good for my muscles to be warming up and working. Good luck in your Dec race!
