Chica125, I used a 3 lb set of dumbbells which is what's recommended. There are some exercises you could use heavier, but others that nearly kicked my butt at only 3 lbs. If you're working out on a hard floor, you should also get a yoga mat. Walmart.com has a set from Jillian that's a yoga mat & set of 3 lb dumbbells for only $12.96. That's what I got. I also need to use a folded up towel under my knees for girly push-ups.

Krista, same thing with the pain after the first workout. I read on the 30DS team that this is common for a lot of people. It happened to me and I had one heck of a time walking & getting up from a sitting position. The pain lasted for 4 days, gradually decreasing each day and then on day 5 it was gone. I still pushed thru the workouts each day and after the first few minutes it actually felt good for my muscles to be warming up and working. Good luck in your Dec race!

I've been meaning to give it another try. I did one workout and Jiliian kicked my butt so hard I could barely walk for 4 days after! I have seriously never had a workout leave me that sore. I am training for a 5k right now so my focus has been more on running, but I might try 30DS in Dec after my race is over.Good luck! It is definitely one of the best workouts I have seen:)

I did 30DS for the month of Sept and had amazing results. I joined a 30 Day Shred spark team and there is a lot of wonderful info & advice on that page, as well as ongoing threads for people doing the program at the same time as you. Check my page and it's in my teams, if you're interested.
Make sure to take your before measurements. You will definitely want them to compare to at the end of the 30 days. I only lost 5 pounds, which would have been frustrating if I hadn't done measurements. I lost a total of 10 inches! Now I'm doing her Ripped in 30 program and have good results at the half way done mark.

I plan on doing the 30 day shred come November as it has 30 days and fits perfectly. I just wanted to know if anyone is interested in joining and supporting each other for the 30 days. I know this is a challenge where encouragement/support is helpful as jillian is a tough cookie.
