Me too JADE465! I completely and totally slacked this challenge. I am ready for the new one.

I am pleased to say that I have been waking up with my 5AM alarm...but displeased to say that I get up, walk into the living room, and shut it off. BOO!!! I need to figure out how to keep myself in the upright and walking position. At least I get up with the alarm.

Weight ended up at 292. Lost some, gained some, but did not gain it all back.

Barbara, those hikes sound great! I haven't been hiking since 1995 and would really love to go back to that spot next summer. It's a state park campground with beautiful little mountains. Nothing too high, but enough for a 2 hour hike. Congrats on your weight loss! I also can't wait for the new challenge to begin.

Good Morning Hotties!
I had a great weekend with 2 wonderful hikes. The weather is beautiful right now.. perfect late summer days. I feel a boost for healthy living right now. I am down to 290.4 lbs. I already sneaked below the 290 last week, but just for an hour or so.. ;) I cannot wait for the new challenge to begin!

Nix, you are my HERO always! Congrats on winning- I TOTALLY voted for you!! emoticon

Once again, I just realized that I missed the dates for the weight ins, and here is the thing, I have not MOVED - I'm glad that I am not gaining so that is good. I have been under a lot of stress, and REALLY just overall SUPER busy with school, performances, and trying to maintain a home- you know how it goes. I'm still going, I Just need to kick it up. I am seven lbs away from my goal for this challenge, but that is ok. I've done very well and managed to lose 10 lbs for this challenge, and 18 in the past 6 months! Slowly but surely.. I will get there! This is NO race! Congrats to those that made it!! We are all Goddesses no matter what!!!! emoticon

I am TOTALLY ready for a new challenge! I Really wanna hit 100 lbs lost by 2013!

I finally lost a pound, took 2 weeks to lose it with intense workouts. But it's gone!

Ugh. I finished this challenge at 286 - I freaking gained. I'm not pleased, but I am so ready for our next challenge. I think I will be joining you wannabe morning exercisers - that is really my best time, as well. So, starting next challenge, I will be waking at 5:30 to work out.

That's okay. I wasn't at my ideal weight either when I got pregnant and then I went on to gain 65 lbs. with each pregnancy. In the end I had two very healthy babies and my weight didn't affect either one.

I don't think that I will be able to get to a healthy weight before pregnancy. I am 35 years old and don't have much time left. I am hoping to lose maybe 50lbs or so, that way it will not be as bad on me, especially if I can keep the gain to a minimum.

That's how I look at it also. We have two little girls (2 and 6) and in the evenings I want to spend time with them. My real goal is to walk / jog in the moring and then in the evening I could do my Yoga or strength training after they go to bed b/c that's something that wouldn't take as long.

Weight is definitly a concern before pregnancy. It's always nice starting the pregnancy at a healthy weight.

Another plus for me-my husband and dogs will still be sleepin' emoticon , so I don't have to worry about them bothering me. I just need to look at it as I get up, work out, and it is done for the day. Any other exercise is just bonus. My husband and I would like to have a child and I don't want my weight to get in the way.

OMG! That is so me. I even picked a nice, soothing alarm to wake up to. Set it on my phone, put it in the living room and STILL can't get up. Maybe the alarm is too kind and polite? Sad thing is that my regular alarm goes off at 4:45 and and I continually hit snooze.

PEACHELLE maybe we could encourage each other to get up at 5 b/c that's the only time I really have also. I keep telling myself to just get up and do it! Nix- Enjoy your trip and congrats on winning!! Take lots of pictures. We loved our cruise to Mexico- it was so much fun and the people were so nice. Thank you for posting a thread on Spark for the new challenge. I don't get on FB much as I can blow hours on there and not realize it.

I am resetting for the new challenge and looking forward to it. I totally blew this one. I did so good for a long time and it all just went to H%*L in a handbasket. I need to get my lazy butt out of bed at 5AM (I know I have said this before, but I just can't get myself up) and exercise. It is the only time that I really have that I can do it regularly. So, I think that one of my goals for the next challenge is to wake my bad-self up at 5.

Today was freakin' AMAZING! I won a writing contest, I felt better (had a cold), I was invited to be on a blog talk radio show about my winning story (I read it on the air, etc and was asked about my writing process, etc.. SO cool!), and then I saw that one of my pics on FB had 460+ likes that a famous friend of mine shared.. so neat! I also jumped up more than 200 likes in one day on my FB fitness page, got 185 blog comments on my "Most Popular Blog" awarded blog for my "100 Pounds DONE :)" blog, and I stayed in my ranges (even WITH eating a chocolate chip cookie today). I mean, unless I won the lottery, today could not have been better!!! :)



Hannah ~ YAY for your loss!! Awww, thank you so much for that! :) LOL I love to ninja around ;) Mwah! Can't wait to get back though, I'm going to miss you guys so much!!

NSV today....I ran into a friend at Walmart and she asked me, "Have you lost more weight? You look great!" She was amazed when I told her that I did 30DS for Sept and lost 5 pounds & 10 inches with it. Yea for NSV!

Nix, I like Wicked Sassy Ninja DONE Challenge but like it better with it being DONE Girls :P Yes, I've got to be a stinker! I didn't think we could use bad-ass but wanted to throw it out there anyways! Do you have an official start date? I know it's when you return but don't remember when that is.

Jenncaba, that's awesome! Congrats on being so close to goal! You should still join us in the challenge and use it to get to your goal and then just have maintenance weeks at the end of the challenge.

As for me, my final weigh in is 171. Yea, I'll take it! I made my (revised) goals and then an extra pound. Time to think of my next set of goals for the new challenge.

So for this challenge I did great !! And it was so much fun pushing myself to do all of Nix workout mini challenges emoticon emoticon emoticon
I had a total of 32 lbs lost over the last 11 weeks ! That was more than I expected but I worked my butt off and I am very proud of myself emoticon
I don't think I will be doing the next challenge since I am only a few pounds away from my GOAL !! And I will be concentrating on maintaining my weight.... But I will check in to help cheer all of you on towards your goals and to join in on some more of Nix crazy workout challenges emoticon

Morning all hot ones! Well, i didn't make my 10 lb goal...but i'll take the 7 that i am DONE with!!!!

Nix: Have the BEST time ever on your cruise...take LOTS of pics and bring back some fun stories!!!!

Glad to see another challenge is in the works...i'm in! i can't believe i actually completed one and nearly hit a goal! But on the next one i am absolutely gonna do the minis...fell short on that with this one.

Hello everyone! Sorry once again I was gone all weekend. It seems like my weekends are always so busy. Yesterday I think that I did a little bit too much b/c I did a 6 mile walk, 30 minutes of Yoga, 5 hours of being on a ladder cleaning stupid wooden blinds, and then I went to Body Pump. Nix you asked last week if I did the full thing. I'm assuming you meant did I do the full track of Body pump and yes I do. Although does anyone know how to track body pump on the fitness tracker? It comes up as general strength training so I plugged it in and it only said 50 calories burned. I know it's not going to burn hundreds but I would think more than 50.

I would love to be a part of the next challenge. I need something to keep me inspired through the Winter. I don't care if it's on here or FB.

it was a long day at work. I stopped by the grocery store and got some great lamb chops for my salad. I had a huge salad bowl with winter dark greens, tomatoes, some greek feta cheese and roasted nuts. Soooo yummy.. and healthy.. lol.. BUT I experienced a big moment of portion distortion.. those lamb chops were just way too big. Not that I cannot eat masses of meat but I had 2 portions of it. At least it was lean meat.. I am learning, as you can see ;)

Okay, I emptied and cleaned my fridge... kind of gross what I stored in there.. lol
And yes, I even threw away my nacho cheese sauce... and all of those recipe magazines I never read anyway. I kept my cook books I regularly use.
But I am way not done yet, I didn't realize, my tiny kitchen can be that big ;) I took care of the food stuff but have some more to do to get rid of all the other things I have in my drawers and cabinets. Isn't it odd what we store in our kitchens??

Hello All! I've been MIA forever...I know! :-/ I'm so sorry I totally struggled with this challenge and life events that have happened since joining! Normally I'm great at encouragement and doing stuff. :( *SIGH*

HOWEVER...I have continued trying and although I haven't hit my goals or even really come close lol I haven't quit! I have finally seen a loss this past week and am totally excited. My plan is to keep on keeping on. lol I don't know what else to do...and hey at least the scale isn't going up? :)

Now....umm I hope I can join the next challenge even though I slacked terribly on this one! I promise to do better and keep trying! =) I really LOVE the Ninja thing. I like the Sexy Wicked Ninja Done Girls Challenge" name idea....really I like both but love the word "wicked" HA HA! I like the idea of a FB private group....as long as it's actually private? LOL I've never been a part of a private group. Can friends see that you are posting to it and just not see what you post? How does that work exactly? If they can then I would also rather keep it on SP. Or we can do both. I am on FB a lot more often than SP. LOL (that wasn't exactly helpful in the decision making huh? haha)

I really love the word Sassy so I think throwing that with the ninja would be awesome.

I also think a private facebook group would be great. Facebook gives alerts so i wouldn't get lost if I had been away for a day or two.

I need another challenge. THis one was really a rough one for me. With vacations, huge losses of fur family members, aditions of new puppys etc. So I am so fing ready to start a new challenge.

Good Morning from across the pond ladies, I am baaaack!!! My vacation was great. Oktoberfest was a blast, my day in the local archive was sucessfull, my team lost their relegation game and are going to play 2nd league next year, but WTH.. that's okay.

I am at my heighest weight ever, did some soulsearching the last weeks, made some decisions and I hope I can keep my momentum this time... I will skip workout tonight to clean my kitchen closets.. throwing out all the trash food that I am bunkering (is that a word??) in my shelves and cabinets. I always was reluctant to throw away food but not this time. It either ends up in the trash or on my hips... easy decision, isn't it? ,))

Wednesday I have an early gym class starting at 6 pm and I am so beat after that that I won't do any strength training, so I will be home early enough to sort out the next closet... all the every day clothes that don't fit will end up in the donation bin. No skinny jeans and no too big clothes anymore "just in case". My suits, evening gowns and dirndl will stay but stored away out of sight. And if I only have 2 pair of pants left... that will be it. I am really ready to throw away all the trash in my life. That is one result of my soul searching... I am a "keeper". I keep everything for "just in case". So one closet at a time will be emptied and sorted. My heart will bleed for all the "money" going into the trash or in the donation bin, but enough is enough. I have to get rid of all that stuff which is holding me back. I figured, if I can get rid of all of that nonsense, cleaning my home, I am finally ready to get rid of my pounds, cleaning my body. AMEN!

Nix, congrats on your 100 lbs!! I have seen it on FB. I am so proud of you, you are my inspirition.

Swagnificent! I LOVE IT Sis!!!!

Ok, I've been a very BAD girl! Bad because, I get on SP all the time, but never checked in here..... Life's so crazy. So I didn't make my goal and missed it by- just guess- three lbs! Stress has really gotten to me for the past two weeks. I jumped up some in the middle of the week last week, but after chilling out, and getting some rest, my weight leveled out keeping me at 233. I am really looking to boast, even through mid-terms this week.

Oh, and I know that I congratulated you on FB, but I shall do it again! CONGRATS! CONGRATS! CONGRATS! You are so AWESOME, INSPIRING, POSITIVE, ENCOURAGING,ENLIGHTING, and as you said SWAGALICIOUS! I am SO proud of you for reaching your 100 lb weight loss Nix!!!!!!!!

Weigh in dates could be Halloween (10/31..duh), Loosen Up Day (11/14), International Ninja Day (12/5 YAY!!!), Winter Solstice (12/21), and end on New Years Day or Eve? Maybe if it's a bit shorter, we wont have so many drop outs...?

I REALLY want the next one to have the word NINJA in it.. I dont care what else it says.. but... NINJA!!!! hehe

Other fall/winter words are: autumn, harvest, pumpkin, beast, vixen, devil, cheer, joy, holiday, treat, love, snowflake, snowman, jingle, jolly, etc...

ALSO, for those that didn't see... we are discussing possibly having the next challenge to be mainly on Facebook as a private "group" that I could create there. We could have threads for mini challenges, discussions, weigh ins, etc. When you post on a group post, that one moves to the top, but I truly think it would be a good way to keep track of what's going on and who's posting and with us, etc. ALSO, since so many of us are lurking on FB everyday, anyway.. it would give a good reason for you to be there and posting. We would, of course, keep a thread here with the DONE Girls and I would cross post mini challenges and such. IF we did it on FB, we could post pictures, encouragement, etc to each other. I think it would be great. I have a few girls that are in agreement.. I'd like to know how the rest of you feel about that!

Nix, thank you for your comments! I was so excited to see all those inches lost. Congrats on your awesome weigh in! I can't wait to read that you've crossed the 100 pounds lost mark! That is truly amazing! I totally would go for a challenge group on facebook. I like the idea of being able to split topics, challenges, etc into different threads. I think a thread on here is good so that everyone can still see it, and hopefully make their way over to fb. Do you want to throw us some check in dates so we can start brainstorming ideas for a name? That's something we can work on while you are gone. Another idea is some mega-mini challenge for while you are away. Maybe something that will take a while to complete just to keep us going. I haven't done the last challenges since the 30DS and now RI30 are hard workouts.

Today is day 5 of Ripped in 30 for me. I've been doing my workouts at night. Week 1 of this workout is easy compared to level 3 of 30 Day Shred. I'm using my 6 lb weights for some of the exercises, 3 lbs for the hardest ones, and also adding 3 lbs to a few of the exercises that the used them for in 30DS but for some reason aren't using them now. I feel good and can feel the workouts working. I plan on doing 7 days of week 1 then taking a rest day before moving on to week 2.

Christopher Columbus was all about discovering new worlds.. and we are all about discovering our inner bada$$, so... :) THIS weekend, I want you to discovery new things... I want you to try a new recipe (it can be from here, cookbook, something you made up) and make it as healthy as possible! I also want you to discover your inner-strength (reflect on how far you've come mentally AND physically during this challenge). And then, I want you to put on some music and SHOW yourself how far you've come with this:

30 seconds for each move (do this 3 times through.. should be about 36 minutes)!!

Jump rope
Front Kicks
Burpees
Jumping Jacks

(rest) for 30 seconds

Pushups
Alternating lunges (with weights)
Squats (with weights)
Back row (with weights)

(rest) for 30 seconds

Side shuffle aka "Heisman" (back and forth.. think football camp!)
Mountain climbers
Squat pulse/jump (squat for 3, jump, squat for 3, jump)
Front kick, side kick, back kick. Set.

(rest) for 30 seconds

Plank
Bicycle crunches
Toe-touch crunches (see below for video)
Candle-stick dipper (see below for video)

I have some girlfriends coming over and we are doing a long walk today. Looking forward to it. Then I'll come back, take a little break, and mow the lawn. I have a lot of lawn and I've been slacking on it. It's loooooong. I should be doing some major calorie burning today.

Hmm some kind of workout challenge I think. You always get me doing things I've never even heard of!
I keep doing the HIIT one and it is still brutal : p
Also, I wouldn't mind moving to a facebook challenge format. Internet will be in my flat around the time you get back from your cruise so I would be totally ready for that one!

I have no idea how to celebrate the 100lbs lost BUT I think my 100-lb reward is a good place to start. I pretty much already sort of got it. It's a beautiful ring that I got for my birthday/100-lbs lost reward. I love it. Is it bad that I got it before I hit the 100lbs? Ohh, well. I'm really going to enjoy it.

First things first.. I love you girls. Thank you so much for the goodies, SparkMail, Facebook love (comments, mail, etc), and everything.. I just... adore y'all! :)

Second, OMG I hit my goal.. and I have the STRANGEST feeling I am going to hit my other goal this week! *squee* So exciting!!! :)

Third, in February, I have to go to Florida for a conference.. with.. my publisher. GAH! I have been picked up by a little company to do an anthology and that will get me a lot of recognition in the literary world and maybe help my novel (that I'm currently working on) hit mainstream. If not, I will self publish. I have a bit of a fan-base already on my author page on FB and some super supporters and.. I'm just so pleased with how this is all going!!!

Fourth, I'm leaving on vacation in just 7 days and I NEED IT SO BAD! I have been so busy with work, writing, promo-ing, reviewing, interviewing, plotting, cleaning, mom-ing, etc.. I haven't had time to just sit and be myself. LOL But, in doing that, I'm losing weight, eating well, etc.. so... I guess busy works for me! :) NOW, let me check on you beautiful girls.. we had a weigh in and I MISSED posting that day!!!! Shame on me! Someone should spank me for that.. hahaha!

We can start a new challenge when I return from my cruise if you'd all like. I was TRYING to start it before I go, but no one wanted to hold the reigns for me for that week +, so.. we will just set it up when I get back. You know I'm always down for one. Even if I can't be here 24/7, I still like the motivation!! :)
Morning exercise.. do it for ONE week. Get up 30 minutes earlier than normal and just do it. You will feel like a NEW person!!! It's amazing. Trust me!

Hannah ~ LOL Good point. I'm up, let's do thisssssss! I'm the same way! :) I grab some water, chug down 8 ounces, brush my teeth, chug 8 more, then do my thing. My metabolism is bustling, my heart rate gets up, and my body is just loving me.. YAY!

Missy ~ Yes, the last one we had about 139 participants (give or take) and ended with 15. WOW. Can't do anything about it though. Many people aren't in it for the long haul or willing to try hard for long periods of time... I wish them all the best and pray for their success :)
YAY for your loss. EVERY loss is a good one. Be proud of you and lose your defeatist/negative attitude. Don't stress so much about this journey. Its not supposed to be so stressful. The changes are supposed to be little by little and do it for LIFE. In time, they should get much easier. Baby steps, honey!

I am leaving this coming Friday (the 12th) and will return to the states on the 23rd, but probably wont be back to PA until late on the 24th.. not sure.
