Holy Crap, you Vixens ROCK!!!


WINDMILLS was our biggest loser for this challenge! She lost 41 pounds and reached every one of the goals she was aiming for! WOW, you go DONE Girl!!! Please shoot me a Spark Mail so I can know which prize you would like to have :)

Hi Girls. I weighed myself over the weekend, but forgot to post my final results. I missed my April Fools goal by 1.2 pounds. I'm a little bummed about that, especially when I started out so well. However, I did lose almost 24 pounds during the challenge, so I guess I can't be too upset with myself. I'm ready to start the next challenge. Will definitely need it to push me these next two months before summer!

I made my 158 by the skin of my teeth. I was down to 157.8 then slacked off!!

hey all,

I didn't meet my goals and I am pretty down about that, I started at 244 and ended at 237.4

I am still trying and plugging along the way. Because of this challenge and this team I had the accountability to try and keep plugging forward. I have become active and am no longer a couch potato ha ha. I actually met my March fitness goal by exercising 1,022 minutes. My goal was to hit the 1000 minute mark.

My nutrition is a 360 degree change now, and I am very proud of that. so now that I am eating foods that are providing nutrients and helpful calories to my body, and working out and getting healthy, I am hoping to find the balance to drop the pounds.

Missed my goal by about 2 lbs, however, I am still calling it a victory because my original goal at the beginning of this challenge was to meet get to 165 by 04/01 but I revised it when I hit that goal earlier than expected.

Last couple of weeks have been little progress but that was due to my own doing. Even though I have been running a lot more and burning more calories, the past couple of weekends have been filled w/ pizza and beer for parties and what not but those are done now and it's time to get back on track for the next challenge.

Congrats to everyone that finished this challenge regardless of the outcome!

I did not make my goal for this challenge, but weighed in at 182.8 this morning, which is the lowest weight I have seen in years! So I am still pretty darn happy about that!!

I didn't quite meet my new goal but I still beat my original goal for a total of 31 lbs and 17 inches lost for this challenge! I am so excited! I can definitely feel a change in my body and see it. I was also trying on bridesmaids dresses last week and fit into a 16 which I never thought I would (when my friend told me she zipped it up I kept telling her she was lying!). I'm sure I'll have to have alterations made to it since the wedding isn't until July but the extra money paid for that will be so WORTH IT since I'm getting healthy!

Like I said, I wanted to check back today with my weigh in. And, yayyy! I lost another 1.4lbs!!! Whoo hoo. So, here are the official results.

This week has been one of the troughest of my life. A student of mine passed away, only 16 years old. With the grieving and supporting the other students, I wasn't sure I would have a loss this week but I did. I think I have a new angel up there cheering me on! I wrote more about it in my Week 13 blog.

Even though I have been on an emotional roller coaster this week, I am proud of myself for sticking with the challenge and meeting all of my goals! I definitely want to participate in the next one!

I did it!! I stuck to the whole challenge and hit each of my goals!! Cant believe it really as ive been stuck on a plateau and managed to break through to hit my goal emoticon

So this mornind didn't go quite the way I planned. I might try to write a blog about it because it really just is so ridiculous that I need to share. Anyway, I didn't get that extra push that I wanted to before my ww weigh-in tomorrow morning. I don't have time the rest of today, so that's a bummer. Still hoping to make my goal, but I can get a good workout in Sunday morning and hit my April 1st goal even if I don't make it for WW on Sat! Only a few more days until we are ready to start our new challenge. I enlisted some friends on Facebook, my mother, a genius I have the pleasure calling my best friend, and a few others and we've come up with a few names/ideas for the next challenge.. let me know what you think. Hopefully this will Spark (pun intended! WooHoo) some ideas or something will stick out at you for inspiration for the next challenge. We can go with the holidays inside for naming, or go with a "dancing" theme, or some sort of sassy/sexy theme (I love that we always have "Sexy Beasts", "Vixen", etc in our names) hehe... just let me know what sounds good to you or give me your own ideas! This is for us all and I want us to be inspired and driven!

Keep in mind, this next challenge will go from April 1st until July 4th. This is 13 weeks. Weigh in days could be April 22 (Earth Day), Cinco de Mayo (5/5), Turn Beauty Inside Out Day (5/16), or Memorial Day (5/28), Summer Solstice (6/20), and 4th of July. (I think 3 or 4 weigh ins will work... which ones are your faves?) If you can think of any other days that could work, let me know!

The other day my shoulder started bothering me. I thought it was just from the intense strength training I did that day or something. The next day, it was nearly unbearable and the pain was making me nauseous. I took that for a few days before I gave in and went to see the doc. Turns out I have... a SPORTS injury! OMG! :D haha According to my doc, I am officially an "athlete" because of my injury. Yes, it hurts but OMG so cool to hear that news :)) Heat and motrin and rest for a few days and I'll be as good as new :)



Stephanie ~ WooHoo!!! Look at you go!!!!!!! YAY for being in One-derland for your sisters wedding!!! Side question, is your ticker weird or is it just me? :)

KD ~ We will be doing another challenge after this one that will go from April Fools day, through Mother's Day, and finish 4th of July! Hope you will join us for that also.
I had a mini-crisis also but am still here, so I'm proud of us :) Even if we dont make our goals, we are showing up and still on the right path, so.. I say that is a win :D

Hey girls! Had a great workout day yesterday! Did 2 hours - one in the morning and one in the evening! Felt awesome!!! Today was a light day because I switch up my turbo rest days from wednesday to sunday so today was only core and yoga (but I added a HIIT workout too) and Friday I'm not doing turbo because Thursday night I'll be at my fiance's house so I'm going to the gym Fri morning. Looking forward to it because I LOVE the arc trainer, so I'm going to do that while I am there!!!! Changing things up a little is good. I'm not going to my normal ww meeting, but gonna find a center just to go and weigh-in sat morning so I can be sure to stay on track!

Nix- The link works, but when the page opens, there's all this text that doubles up over the text I need to read. I think it's because work it trying to block the page, but lets me see some of it. But since you are posting the workout everyday anyway, I can still know what I need to do, so thanks for that =)

Ok I got off track a little bit but I am back and going. Luckily I snapped out of it before to much damage was done. I did not post my St. Patty's day because we were out of town and that was during my mini crisis. I probally won't make my Fool's Finish goal either but I am giving it all I can till then.I may have to extend this for myself and make Mother's Day my Big Finish!

I totally forgot to check back in and record my weight loss on St. Patty's but, here I am. here's how the weigh-in's have been going:

Start ~ 260.0
Belly Laughs (1.24) ~ 254.6
Valentine's (2.14) ~ GOAL: 250; Weight: 248.8!!! YES!!!!
St. Patty's (3.17) ~ GOAL: 238; Weight: 237 Ohh, yeah!!
Fools/Finish (4.1) ~ GOAL: 235; Weight: 233.8 OMG! YAYYY!

Last week, I was able to make my Fools/Finish goal. Whoo hoo! I'm 233.8 as of last Sunday and with one week left of the challenge. I think I'll be able to be around 231 or so by the end of the challenge so that's a whole 4lbs less than the goal. Yes!!! DONE with 26.2lbs since the beginning of the challenge. Ohh, yeah!!! I'm pretty excited about it. Whoo hoo!!! I hope everyone has been doing just as awesome! I'll edit this post next week when I weigh in. Good luck, everyone!

We are some sexy Vixens... and I want us to flex that and finish this challenge off STRONG (in every sense of the word!)

So, to my Vixens (and anyone that is willing to be tortured with us.. I mean.. join us! Mwahahaha), I pose this 1 week long, mini-challenge for our final week of our challenge! Starting TODAY, Monday, March 26th and ending Sunday, April 1st :)

I snagged this from a fellow Done Sister (aka an awesome chick!).. and it looks great!


I want you to continue with what you are regularly doing, but add this right along with it. Experts say that strength training is at its most effective when done after cardio (when our muscles are warmed up and ready for it). Also, our bodies respond the best when we trick them into change (they are like men and children... HAHA). Just throw your body a curveball and watch it respond! No time like the present to give it a final push into our April 1st weigh in!

There is something to do for each day Monday - Sunday.. so... lets get it! I dont mind if you double up and do Monday and Tuesday on Monday and take a break between (thats what I am going to do). I just want us to kick it up a notch and finish strong. You are worth EVERY second you dedicate to yourself and your journey!

Today's (Monday) challenge is normal cardio or strength (or both!!) and add:
Tricep Push ups – 12 reps
Rest 20 seconds

Repeat Circuit 3 times.

Vicki ~ I'm with you, babe. Sometimes I burn and burn too much and don't eat enough to support the loss (I suspect). Yes, sodium intake could throw you for a loop, but you are on the right path and you have an awesome plan in place. And yay for not bringing money and giving yourself a way to slip. That's a great plan! You go girl!

YAY for another challenge. I suck at naming stuff, too. lol I am trying to figure something out, but.. so far, my mind doesn't like me. LOL I like the 3 month long challenges. Hey girls!!! I'm all up for one last mini-challenge!!! And definitely up for another challenge!!! I love your challenges Nix!!! I'm not creative when it comes to naming stuff, but I like the idea of going till the 4th. I'm hoping I make my goal for this challenge! It's my modified goal, so I will be sooo dissappointed if I don't make it because I already didn't make my original goal. I am working soooo hard. Can you believe that I burned like 4000 calories last week and only lost 0.4lbs?!?! huh? I'm hoping it was just the sodium from eating out the night before and it comes off this week. Going to work really really hard on eating right this week - no sneaking things in - I'm only hurting myself when I do that!!! Got an awesome day of food packed today and didn't bring any money so I won't buy anything extra- good start to the week. Work hard towards those goals girls!!!!

Deb ~ haha Stupid Easter candy!! :( I used to be IN LOVE with Cadbury Creme Eggs.. and now I can only eat maybe 1/3 of one before I have to give the rest to my hubby or son... and I dont want anymore candy for DAYS lol. I don't think I am going to reach my goal either. I am not doing as well as I would have hoped or thought I could at all. It is very frustrating but to focus on what I have done:

I have changed my eating habits
I am drinking more water or diet drinks
I have identified when I am being triggered with emotional eating
I have modified the foods that I eat, and have a desire to eat food that will bring me health versus food that just tastes good.
I am exercising on a regular basis now
My elbow is finally getting stronger and I am starting some uppper body strength training exercises too.
My meals are smaller
I have will power to say no to seconds even when the food is so yummy...
I am eating and journaling and conscious about what I am eating and I haven't mindlessly eaten anything in weeks.
I am making better choices at work luncheons
I am making better choices when I am away

Now - with all of that, I am hoping to eventually see the scale moving at a consistent pace. :)

I am hoping to still lose a little more before we get to the end of this challenge :)

Good Morning Vixens!

Been a little bad in the eating this week---darn Easter candy sales! But i took a big bag of it to my part time job to get rid of some of it, and the rest is tuccked out of sight. If it ain't out---i don't eat it! So gotta get back to watching what i eat!

And on THAT note---today i am having lunch with some friends at a great RIB place! i haven't been there in years so i am looking forward to it. Was able to get a couple walks in this week. Still having trouble making time for exercise.

Ok, with 8 days remaining in this challenge, I am officially (and finally) back in my groove. I am still on my path, even if I was off track with fitness, my eating is actually really good. I have off-days like everyone, but.. I think this lifestyle is finally "taking" with me :D Heck yeah!!! I am not going to make my goal for this challenge, but I am ok with that. Im finding myself and that's the biggest point for me. Now I just need to get back to losing :) Which just means I have to take more time for myself to figure out a schedule and get a backbone to tell people "no" so that I will take time to workout. I love myself and am worth it, for sure.

Thank you SO MUCH to those of you there were cheering me on and checking on me via email, text, Spark mail, Facebook stalking, etc... I really appreciate it. Love you girls. XOXO

I live in Pittsburgh.. yesterday I drove my mom to her doctor in New Jersey (she just had another surgery and her specialist is there) and then back home here. So, that was a heck of a trip. She is here and I am taking care of her, my son's birthday just passed, I'm painting and remodeling my mom's house, and.. life is just full of hectic-ness.. hehe I have been still finding some time for fitness (a little), but my eating is way on track almost all the time! Heck yeah! :)) Victory is mine :D



Ok... 8 more days in the challenge and I want us to finish STRONG.. in every sense of the word!! So, please join me in one last challenge. We are going to start Monday.. I will post the challenge in my blog and link you to it on Monday. :) Are you game?
Our mini challenge is going to be called "Flex Your Vixen" ;)


Also, next week, I am going to get us started on a new challenge that I will NOT flake on during the middle.. promise. How long would you like the next challenge to be? I am thinking until 4th of July... ? And I'm certain we can come up with some good naming for this also. :)) What days do you think we should do weigh ins?

Next challenge would begin in Spring.. and end in the middle of summer.. so.. keep that in mind. Maybe.. Curvy and Sparkly Summer Slimdown.. or something like that? HELP! I suck at naming.. lol

LOSINGITNOW: You are 0.1lb away from a 30 lb loss! Week behind schweek behind, that is amazing!

Scale today read 157.8, which means I am past my fools day goal, and 0.8 away from a 20lb loss. Can't wait to say "I have lost twenty pounds!"

Also on vacation today, not going anywhere exciting, just booked some free makeup appointments, Dragonette concert, and playing tourist at home.

Hopefully I can stick to my meal routine, despite being away from my regular routine.

I've been letting my body recuperate from all of the hours I had been putting in (plus TOM), so I have not gotten as much cardio as I would like this week, but I have been banging out some serious strength workouts. I still need to get a fix on my nutrition, which I am hoping to do this week since I just stocked up on lots of yummy, healthy foods

Hey Everyone,

I haven't checked in in a while. I went away last weekend wtih my sister and my family and I was excited to say I made healthy choices and exercised while away. I have also been eating well, and making some other changes to help myself stay on track. Over the past three months, my habits and choices have changed incredibly. I don't feel like the same person anymore. The scale hasn't moved as I would have liked it to, but I still feel like I am finding success. I am still plugging away at this!!!!

Hey girls! Didn't check in yesterday because of all the technical problems on here :( Hope everyone is doing well! Hot yoga is basically yoga in a sauna. The room can go anywhere from 90degrees to 105 degrees and the instructor runs a regular (usually flow) yoga class. It's great because the heat really lets your muscles relax and stretch and supposedly you get rid of a lot of toxins. It's hard, but I really like it =) Keep going girls - we are almost at the end!!!

Today was my first day doing upper body strength training since the first week of the challenge. I had to go super light, which was harder on the ego than my muscles. It felt great to do a bench press again :D

I've been slacking a few weeks so I'm shocked that I'm still at least on target. I'm doing much better this week. I've walked everyday since Saturday so I'm doing well.

Hello vixens. CONGRATS to everyone hitting their goals and keeping up the hard work! : )

I am at 175 pounds. haven't had any work in like a month, so I've been eating whatever is provided by the bf and fan (sooo not healthy), and feeling crappy from allergies and such.

BUT I did go to river, and I wore a 2 piece. woot. anyone who doesn't like it can kiss my chubby bottom. emoticon and I am going to belly dance classes!

I am all for another holiday challenge after this (hopefully with more weight loss) but I am making progress in other ways so I am happy about that.

As of 03/17, I beat my goal of 169 and hit 165.2! Unfortunately, the St Patty's Day fun I had later that night and lack of activity the day after has resulted in a 3 lb gain since Saturday morning's weigh in. I do feel a lot of it is water weight as I ate at Chili's and I know that the sodium content in most of their dishes are ridiculous. Hoping to drop a pound or two in the next couple of days as I detox from all the bad food and green beer. lol

I am modifying my April 1st goal of 165 to 162. I am right on the verge of going down another dress size to a size 10 (originally started at a size 16). Hoping that dropping another 3 lbs may get me into those size 10's! My boyfriend's b-day is on the 31st and we are having a party for him and I would love to surprise everyone with my new body (haven't really seen his family since I started losing weight). Time to step it up for the rest of the month!

Congrats to everyone who met (or even exceeded) their goals!
I did my measurements today and I've lost a tiny bit off my neck and thigh. Weight wise though, I'm stuck losing and gaining the same couple of pounds over and over again even though my calorie intake has remained steady.
The good thing is that I'm doing WAY more cardio than I was at the beginning of the year and I'm now in Week 4 of my Couch to 5K running program. I'm hoping that my hard work will pay off by the time April Fools comes around!

So I went out last night for St. Paddy's Day. In a green t shirt and high waisted denim shorts and brown boots and I felt smokin!
Walked by a bunch of guys from my high school who i hadn't seen in years and they were all like WOAH! These guys were huge jerks and their opinions of me are so trivial in my mind. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the attention, as if to say wow the chubby nerd from high school got hot!!

As predicted, my vacation fun pushed my weight back up, but I don't regret any of it. I missed my St Pat's Day goal and am not sure my revised April Fools goal is realistic. It has taken more than a week post vacation to start making decisions that were mostly healthy again. I'm going to do the beast I can over the next two weeks.

I agree with the other Vixens, I would love another challenge like this one to help keep me focused.

Victoria - I'm so sorry about all of the health issues you are having this year. You attitude has been great through it all. Hang in there.

I missed this challenge, hoping there will be another one like this coming up! I need to lose this weight........went to the Dr. a couple weeks back, she said I looked great! could see in my face that I lost some weight, funny thing is though I weigh more now then when I saw her 6-7 months ago

She said my blood pressure was perfect!

I'm just finding now I guess with the soon changing of the seasons that my asthma is acting up a little more and that I'm having some difficulty breathing at times, and I KNOW all the 300+ pounds is not helping.................I just need to focus and get back at it.......sorry for the rant ,, BUT I REALLY HOPE there will be another challenge like this one! emoticon emoticon

Well I didn't meet my new goal but I did lose 5 inches. I started a new workout program on 2/21 and about a week and a half ago I realized I wasn't eating enough so my body was storing everything I ate. Since I made this revolution I've dropped about 2.5 pounds. So I believe I'll be able to get to 213 by April 1st (well hopefully... 6 pounds in 2 weeks is a bit much)! I'm still ahead of my original goals which I'm happy about!

I barely made my goal, but I'll take it. I've been sick with a nasty cough and wasn't really working out for almost two weeks and of course when I'm sick I don't eat well. I'm actually surprised that I made my goal!

Congratulations to everyone who has made their St Patty's goal!!! And happy St Patrick's Day!!! I finally finished my extern yesterday and am so looking forward to having a normal schedule and time to Spark again!!! (And get back to my workouts!) I did not make my goal, but considering how my life has been, that's okay because I did not gain either. This morning I weighed in at 185, but its also the 1st day of TOM, so I'm probably a pound or two under that. I would really like to slide into Fool's Finish at 180 or below and I KNOW that its completely do-able!!!

Hi Ladies, thanks for the encouraging words yesterday! We all need them from time to time! Here are my stats thus far:

Start ~ 256 lbs
Belly Laughs (1.24) ~ 253 lbs - 258.6
Valentine's (2.14) ~ 247 - 257.2
St. Patty's (3.17) ~ 255 - 250.4
Fools/Finish (4.1) ~ 250

Didnt shed those 4.5 oz between yesterday and today but that's ok. I've already walked my puppy 2 miles and now I am off to zumba and maybe bodypump? I just feel so much better after I workout that I am starting to chase the feeling, which is a good thing. Those endorphins get to flowing and I feel so good.

Congrats to all those did or did not make their goals, you are sticking with it and building consistency and THAT is what makes us all DONE GIRLS!! WOOOHOOO!!!

159 today and could not be more excited to keep going. I cant believe I made my St. Paddy's day goal of 160. It has been a tough month. I went to update my signature, and it told me I needed to change my goal weight before saving changes as I now weigh less than my initial spark people goal :O

weighed myself today, and I'm 193 emoticon . Life's been VERY hectic lately, one of my coworkers had heart surgery and I have to cover for him, which means I'm traveling almost every week. I'm happy I've only gained 1 lb through it all, but it stinks that I have to set my goals aside for now. Good luck to everyone and Happy St. Patrick's Day! emoticon emoticon
