I fell off of the wagon a while back, and gained back almost all the weight I lost. I'm here because I am getting my big bumm off the couch and back onto the dukan wagon, and with a little help from friends, I'm hoping to shape up and get rid of all the extra weight I have been carrying around. I'm hoping that I can shed some emotional poundage with this journey as well, and find out who I really am.
I am starting Dukan today! I had to modify my coffee order, which isn't too bad. I got a large black with one sweetener, against my usual two milk half sugar. Little different, but still effective in helping to keep me awake! I brought a container of vanilla fat free yogurt and some perch fillets to work for food. I'm excited to start seeing results!!
***UPDATE*** Bought my oat bran, nice and crunchy. I've eaten 6 (small) perch fillets so far, lol. When I input that into the nutrition tracker it says 69 grams of protein! WOWZA! No carbs either!!
OK! I finally have the books, and my girlfriends and I are going to be starting this Monday!! I'm excited, so many people who have done this diet have lost weight so fast!! And I asked my family Dr. today and she said it looks like something that is safe to do. YAY!!
Just wanted to pop in here and clear something up about the 17 DD. It's not actually 17 days. It's a whole lifestyle change, but there are four 'cycles' that last for 17 days each, if that makes sense. Just didn't want you to get confused :)

Sandi, I know what you mean, I am not a fan of structure, but whatever I'm doing now is clearly not working for me! lol I have never tried something like this, but I figure I owe it to myself to at least try. I hope it works and that I can stick with it!!
Good to hear some positive feedback! I haven't heard of the 17 day diet before. This one is longer, but from what I can tell, it helps you to learn about what foods you should eat, and how often to eat them to maintain a healthy weight.
To those who'd like to try it with me, I'm thinking of starting it in a week or so, till all the veggies I bought at the grocery store are eaten, because I hate wasting fruits and veggies! Once they get re-integrated into the diet I will buy more! Hopefully start for Friday!!
I have never tried a low-carb diet before, but I think with all the support from DONE, I can do it! SO I hope to have a nice little bundle of us soon, and we can see what happens!!
I got a deal online and got the dukan diet and the 17 day diet together so I read the intro to the 17 day diet and seems doable but now I think I'm going to read the Dukan diet and see if that one is more for me. I have a girl that I went to school with and last time I checked in with her she had been doing it for 16 days and she had lost 18lbs I would love to do that would put me at my lowest yet! I'm in with you if you want to try it! I am one that has to stick to a low carb diet I have thyroid issues and have learned my body doesn't not handle lots of carbs well especially if I eat to many for dinner!

Hey, I really want to try the Dukan diet, as I have a girlfriend who lost 30 lbs on it, without gaining it back, and she is as happy and healthy as ever! There are many reviews by people on the web about how well it works, and although there is a book to go by, most of the information is all online, just google Dukan Diet how to! I went on the Dukan site and it will calculate your "true weight" by having you answer a few quick questions. This weight estimate is what should be a healthy weight once you've completed the diet. My "true weight" is 139.11, which is actually higher than my SP goal right now. It seems pretty smart for an online calculator! I would really like to get a bunch of us DONE girls to try this challenge together, and see what happens! I'm willing to help support anyone who wants to give it a shot! After all, WE are DBTHFG!!!! We CAN do this!!
