That's still great. My sheets have 3 days at a time so I think I'll just fill out one sheet and keep going if I want to. So far, I do!! This is a record for me - going on a week and a half :) Thanks for keeping me motivated - even if you aren't recording right now.

Sounds like good confirmation. It is so important to feel confident with your dosing changes, and you are so right about seeing the #'s on paper helping with that. I am not going to log this week, but will next week. Thinking of logging "forever" has been one of my hangups with doing it at all, so I am purposely not committing to more than a week at a time :)

Yikes, I haven't really been analyzing them! I need to do that.

If nothing else, I know two things I knew before but have officially solidified in my head:
1. I need 2-3x as much insulin for morning meals vs the rest of the day. (dawn phenomenon? idk)
2. When I work out, I need to do it first thing in the morning and NOT eat a bunch of carbs ahead of time.

I need to finish up another sheet (I have 3 days per page) and fax them off to my endo and family doc!

So are you back on track tomorrow?!

Ugh! Left off on Friday afternoon and haven't logged since. But five and a half days is better than the nothing I did before. One take-a-way....I'm changing my I/Cho and correction factors back to where I had them so I can stop tweaking my boluses down manually. I think I'll do that this week, and then log again next week to see if I can pick up anything else.

Great job to you gals!! Did you decide on anything to change as a result of your logs, or do you feel like they helped you be more mindful or have better results?

Great job loggers! I logged on spark to read of your progress, and got inspired to catch up after getting zonked with work deadlines the last couple days. Thanks for keeping the logging spark going!

I did alot of guess work on the carbs but it seemd to be close since my BG's stay within the 100 to 140 mg/dl mark! so yeah I only had one low which was my fault because I didn't pay atten to the downward trend my CGM was showing and thought ohh I will eat in 10 mins which turned into 3 hrs thus BG of 57 popped us which I actually felt the symptoms so I think I am getting my awareness back. Good job guys staying on top of this I know we all will gain some insight from it at the end of the week. I am thinking of making this a monthly goal now and not just 1 week.I am so proud of you all with the keeping up!

Way to go!!! I tracked today but totally had to guess on dinner - I ate out at a Mexican restaurant (*&^# those tortilla chips and rice) and then had some Skittles and Andes Mints later. Oh well... I'll just put a ? on my chart ;)

Great job Allison! Your log IS pretty because you wrote in it for 3 days...wooohooo!!!!

I bagged my 3rd day of logging too. Still on a bit of a time delay...usually catch up the next morning on the last half of the prior day. I'm realizing that I really don't trust my pump settings. I let my endoc talk me into changing from 1:12 to 1:10 carb ratio, and I had several lows after that. So I haven't changed it back, but just reduce my boluses a little bit on the fly. Writing down boluses makes me realize how often I'm doing that. Hoping once I analyze this week, it will help me figure out if I can just change it back to 1:12 and stop the manual tweaking madness.

Great job everyone! Thanks for keeping us all accountable, too :)

Today I finished one side of my log sheet - 3 days - which is a HUGE deal for me! I was so excited to have officially filled it all in, even though it isn't pretty.

Carey - Those 24 hour shifts and group meals would be hard to manage. Great job getting it done.

Allison - You're doing great. Guesstimating is definitely part of it for me too :)

I'm doing well with a bit of delay. I just got caught up on the latter part of yesterday's logging. I'm so thankful for meter and pump memories! My numbers are looking pretty decent with one exception from Sunday evening. Hoping to do a little analytical work on the week after all logging is done.

Glad you are in this with me....keep up the great work and I'll try to keep up with you :)

I logged today as well I was running high all day usually I stay under 130 mg/dl since I have my pump really tweaked for my needs but something has been up because I have not been under 140 mg/dl all day! uggh I hate that but I changed out my site and switched out the insulin in my pump and have been drinking the water so hopefully it should start heading down now guess we will see.

I had a severe hypo at 4 am (I was at 36!!!) and ate until I felt better, which left me high all morning.
Normally I would have quit BUT I've been tracking! I'm so pumped for this! I was so busy, too.

Thanks everyone! I decided to use "my other checkbook" -- a manual log -- for now since I can carry it with me. Managed to log carbs, BG's, basal & boluses today. Was a busy day too...our church moved to a new bldg, so lots of off and on activity helping with that, lunch out, etc. Without thinking of you guys, I probably would not have logged today, so thanks for inspiring me! Anyone else log today?

The challenge is to log your blood glucose readings, insulin doses, carb counts and/or anything else that gives you good info about managing your diabetes -- for one week. No guilt over your numbers is allowed. Just log it, leave it, and learn from it.

This came about as a result of Allison and I discussing our mental hangups in logging our blood glucose readings. She issued a challenge to do this, and we wanted to see if there are any others who want to join us.
