Geez, and the commissioner of NFL gives a slap on the wrist in my opinion. Like a slap in the face to women.

Actually our local paper hasn't said a ton, I have seen most everything on ESPN and I get a ton of twitter messages, and all from Ohio State sources. There are a lot of differing opinions, but then does the punishment fit the crime? What about Cam Newton who got just a slap on the wrist and then gets the Heisman? That to me doesn't seem a bit right. I know these kids need to be punished, but 5 games? Plus we only hear bits and pieces of what actually happened, so I can't make an honest judgment, when I see kids in the SEC get away with things and the Big 10 gets more stringent punishment. That usually is the case. The NCAA needs to restructure their rules and punishments to make it the same for everyone, not the ones they like better than other teams.

What are your local newspapers and TV saying? First I saw thr rumors of Coach Tressel leaving being squashed. That is so good.
Also, I read our paper's editorial. Morning Journal headlines and "Suspended Ohio State players put money before good judgment." And "Win or lose on Jan. 4, changes need to be made at Ohio State when it comes to instructing student athletes on understanding and following proper rules of conduct"

Well, Morning Journal, I say changes need to be made at NCAA on the rules. Why should the football "farm teams" at colleges bring in money fr the schools, advertisers, TV, refs, coaches, etc. but penalize the players for non playing behaviour and not illegal.?

From all the stuff I have been reading,Pryor had his mother move in with him. She was in danger of losing her house, and he needed the money. That is the reason most of these kids if not all sold their stuff. They are on scholarships but don't get much. It's a shame, some of the rules are ridiculous. They need to change some of them, just like the BCS needs to overhaul their program.

I think it's frustrating! On one hand I don't understand why they were selling their stuff, why not wait, but on the other hand, I don't see what the big deal is for selling their stuff. How many people make money off of these players and their names, why shouldn't they make some?

Sad... No sense of team, four or five individuals hurt the entire team and the 2011 season.
