it is a different thread and I see you already signed up there. when you put your stash in, remember to edit that post and add on the dates to check in

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

is starts at midnight October 1. Rules are simple

1. get your stash together for planed projects ---- I organized my stash in September in prep for this... and for myself

2. Sign up on the sign up thread, placing the amounts of yarn, fabric, or what else you are using. ----- I think I did this... I will double check

3. Each week on the 8th, 15th, 22, 29, and then finally on the 31st, enter the amounts used by editing your initial posting. ------ Are we posting here or on a different thread?

4. Goal is to get rid of your stash, nothing else.

I have printed the "Stay on Bibb" pattern and I have a bag of Sugar and Cream cotton.
I will count my skiens and see how many Bibbs I can make in October.

I can use these here for my in home daycare business and I know of 2 pregnant ladies.

the initial message stated

During September think of what you would like to make in October. For yarn, count the skeins, fabric the yards, your other projects whatever the measurement is

so just measure the reed before and after

9/23 - I'm getting excited just one week left to start!! I have about 5 projects I chosen to do. I am still choosing yarns. I'm thinking I have too many choices.

9/21- Went thru pattern books yesterday and found a few projects. I'll be matching Yarn later today!!

9/19 - Thanks I'll do just that and keep editing on my current post!

I have a pretty big Stash of Yarn!! But I'm in!! Like others I'm going to be knitting Christmas gifts.

Can I work on my stash of round reed and weave some baskets too??

This should be fun!! Have just about enough time to get my projects organized.

I start your challenges with high hopes and usually get derailed by life. However, this is a great impetus to get some Christmas gifts completed, so I am joining!

I will be knitting, crocheting, sewing up some fabric and making some jewelry from beads. I mak also make some flower arrangements in order to reduce my stash of left over silk flowers those as well.... WooHoo!!

Hey this sounds perfect for the coming holidays. I have been trying to get rid of stash for awhile. That is fabric, yarn and unspun fiber. It will be fun to track what I use up.

From 1-31 October I am challenging each of you to get rid of some of your stash. What this will involve.

During September think of what you would like to make in October. For yarn, count the skeins, fabric the yards, your other projects whatever the measurement is on that. and then write in the count on the thread I will be starting for this in about two weeks.

Each week, come back to your posting and using the edit key, write down how much of your stash you have used each week. If you have finished your initial stash and want to add more, please do so.

Some will use all their stash others will not. The idea is to get the stash out of your house and into a finished project.

I will be going through my books and pulling out the yarn for them and putting them aside for this.
