So I decided to cook a healthy meal for me and my hubby. I made turkey burgers with lean Jennie-O turkey, I replaced regular hamburger buns with the sandwich thin buns that are only 100 calories a piece, instead of mayo we cut the calories with mustard. I also topped the burgers off with nice slices of tomato, onion, and lettuce. And to top it off with a nice healthy side instead of something like french fries, I steamed up some fresh broccoli. All in all the dinner came to be under 400 calories a serving!
POINTS: --- 500 points!

We worked in our garden and yard. We planted numerous shrubs and lots of veggies. We had lots of fun and also had a great workout digging, weeding, and planting. My husband wanted to take some pictures, but the camera was not working. We will still get some before pictures and later pictures after the crops start growing. It will be great fun watching for the first sign of growth from the seeds (lettuce, zucchini, cucumbers, spinach,tomatoes, onions, and collards). Then we will also enjoy the wonderful meals from our goodies. Oh, I forgot to mention that we planted blackberries and blueberries. I really enjoy working outside. I get into a meditative state and I find it to be good for my soul to make our yard beautiful. Looking forward to seeing all the pretty blooms of our flowers soon.

Tonight I planned a dinner we all took a share in. To Start we made a nice turkey meatloaf. We went in our cabinet and just chose a few things to put in this. We chose to add Garlic, egg, Pineapple, Teriyaki Sauce & Some stove top stuffing in ours. ~ We also cooked some turkey bacon and put this on top of our loaf along with some extra pineapple.

Then we went in the freezer and picked out 2 vegi's to steam.

It all turned out good, had a lot of fun doing this.

Wow!...Lotsa cool ideas and many my "date" and I already do.
Yesterday we went for a hike at a nearby park, then for supper we prepared a low-cal, low-fat stir fried meal (chopped veggies, chicken, and rice) and I signed us up for the 5K in May!

Did an exercise class via a Leslie Sansone DVD at home with my dear husband. He joined me in a warm up, 2 mile walk, and the cool down! It was fun to watch him, and he liked it! Woohoo!

Cooked meal together. Made baked skinless chicken breast with light breading, a Quinoa recipe with tomato, cucumber, onions, carrots added to it and a lettuce salad with tomatoes, mushroom and artichoke hearts.

Today I made a very good soup in my slow cooker. Went shopping yesterday and purchased the Purdue, no skin, indvidually wrapped chicken, cut into pieces, added mixed veggies of green beans, corn, also added carrots, brocolli, celery, green onions and I used chicken broth, low fat, low sodium and I am looking forward to having it for dinner.
