Hi Oranges! Will have to watch my portions too since we are having company tonight.
Doing some cleanup and then resting since I found out I have a secondary infection from my cold but good news is strep was negative. I started going downhill again yesterday afternoon and talk about going bad at a good pace! I ended up calling and luckily got in last appointment. Ears hurt, throat and hard to swallow. I have a 3 pack antibiotic to take and should be resting all day but we have friends stopping by on their way home and haven't seen them in quite a while. I'm concerned though since we are flying off on vacation soon too and I've got to get rid of this!!!
If you don't hear from me much it's because I'm just doing a quick stop by and inputting stats and that's about it.

Coming here is a habit. This was my SP Challenge. When I decided to do Spark People back at the the end of Februay I just plunged in. Doing the Basics exercises this month have been so helpful. I divided my weight loss into two phases. I am happy with my progress.
I wish continued success toward getting healthy and fit for all of the Orange Team and the Walking/Leslie Team.

Hey Oranges - sorry to be mia. I seemed to have fizzled the last week of the challenge. I have some thoughts on things I need to do to improve though. The challenge reminded me of many important habits that I need to KEEP working on. Including drinking that water! The best part of the challenge was meeting some really nice people here. This has been my first time interacting on the public spark teams. I've really liked it. Hope everyone else enjoyed the challenge as well. I'm not sure what's next on the Walking/Leslie Sansone Team but I'm sure to stick around! Thanks everyone for helping to make this so fun.

Hello Team,
It's been just the best Sunday for me. My lunch date stretched into my grand spending the night. He loves to cuddle while we watch a movie. I usually fall asleep a few times as I don't usually sit still that long watching movies. He has a bowl of ice cream that I buy especially for him and teases me about being his "poor" Nana. We straighten the kitchen together and go to bed. Its been a splendifirous and healthy weekend.
Anna I do hope the coughing doesn't continue to trouble you. I add a little honey and lemon to my tea when I have a cough. That seems to help.
HappySoul, How was the swap meet? I've never gone to one but think it would be exciting. I belong to two freecycle groups and its wonderful to give away what I no longer want or need to someone else and sometimes to find what I need from another.
I hope everyone in Irene's path are safe and don't suffer too much damage. I'm a FEMA disaster inspector and may be deployed in a few days.

Happy Saturday! I am pumped today. I have a date with my only grandchild for lunch. He is eleven and always invites me. I pick him up, he selects the restaurant and takes my arm like a little gentleman. He always has some interesting stories from his week to make me laugh. He knows I'm Sparking and losing weight and encourages me. We have a ball together. Definitely the hightlight of my day.

I did some prelim at the gym we joined and although I know I'm whimpy in upper area when I did the step up for 3 minutes I wasn't too bad. We'll see as we go along. I always feel like I'm breathing too heavily after some exercise so I'm hoping it's just that I haven't done it a lot for a long time! Oh, I'm not going to blame the cold/virus!!! My holding the wall squat and the plank were good, Of course room for lots of improvement!

Hello Orangettes, I'm sneaking in a good morning before since its almost afternoon here. Yesterday was soo busy even without doing the long walk. I cleaned the basement, killed spiders (yuck! I'm afraid of them) and mopped the floors.
Anna, the ankle feels better today. Thank you for the good wishes. I do hope you are one day closer to being rid of the cold/virus.
Today I'm packing give away boxes to be picked up. Amazing how much we accumulate that is not needed. I'm off to have a fruitful happy Friday.

I have been having a little more just because of this cold. I think 12 is my limit tho especially since I get busy at work! With a bottle sitting right there it usually reminds me! Hi Orangettes. Its Thursday of another great week.
Anna, I hope that you are much better today and more like your old self. I too willl have less cardio today. My ankle is sore. Yesterday I wrapped it with an elastic bandage and walked slower; today I will rest it altogether. Today I will do exercises and stretches that don't stress it too much, get more steps in doing extra housework and do a fruit and vegetable day.
Its my cleaning day so I'm off.

Wow Anna. That really has been hanging on a long time. So sorry! Hopefully, you are just dealing with the tail end and will wake up good as new.
So today I'm just thinking in my head "water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water". Why? Becuase for some reason when I'm busy I forget to drink! Well, except coffee.
It seems like everyone is doing pretty well again this week. Hooray team!!!!

Hi fellow oranges, I'm still trying to get rid of the cold/virus that refuses to leave so took it a bit easier today. Still got my 1/2 hr cardio in and a little strength and stretch but not my 10,000 steps. Tried to cut down on the amount I ate since the exercise I usually get in was cut.

Happy Saturday morning everyone.
Hope you weekend is off to a great start. Mine started at 4:30 AM when I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so I rolled out of bed, hit the bathroom, grabbed my water and walked 3 miles. WooHoo.. Done for the day.. well that and I did 30 min on the gazelle too. One of the best compliments I've had in a while is seeing someone I hadn't seen in almost a year and they said to me "How much weight have you lost?" WooHoo.. that put a smile on my face.. I'm loving it yes I am.
Affirmation for the day: "I look for the good in any situation and I choose to experience the feeling of enthusiasm about the activity in that situation. Now I am cooking with enthusiasm!"

I should have taken a break am at work and participated. GO TEAM! Best I can do for now! I was at work all day and so tired right now. Cold/virus has a ways to go before it's gone I guess! I did do my walking duriing lunch hour and before work, plus had to go to another building to pick up stuff later in the day so I have over 5 miles. I have to be in tomorrow since coworker and sup are both off! So, going to sign off soon and relax/snooze.
