No, the flyer didn't say.

I tried the pasta recipe with substituting two breasts of chicken instead of ham and wow, I put down 8 oz. of pasta with just one green bell pepper and one can of sweet pea. Needless to say, a friend and I ate three servings and the pot is still half full! So I would wager a guess and say 4-6 servings for those recipes. The sandwich ones says 8 slices of bread so I'd say 4. The pasta is definitely 6 or more. Not sure about the salmon & green bean salad.

Hi, I got the flyers from Aldi and I thought it was a wonderful idea to post those on here and see how we can transform those into something that's healthier than its original counterparts.

Week of 7/27

Ranch & Ham Pasta Salad ($8.01)
1/2 lb. Reggano macaroni
3/4 cup Fit & Active ranch dressing
1/2 red, yellow and green peppers, seeded and diced
1/2 lb. Appleton cubed ham
1 cup Happy Harvest frozen sweet peas, thawed

Cook pasta in boiling salted water 8-10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and cool. Combine with remaining ingredients. Toss. Chill before serving.

Grilled BLT Sandwiches ($8.34)
2 Tbs. Burman's mayonnaise
2 Tbs. SaladMate thousand island dressing
8 slices L'oven Fresh whole wheat bread
2 cups finely shredded lettuce
1/2 cup peeled and finely chopped fresh tomatoes
1/4 cup Roseland bacon cut in pieces

Plug in and generously spray both sides of a double-sided electric contact grill with butter-flavored cooking spray and preheat for 8 minutes. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and thousand island dressing. Evenly spread 1-1/2 t. mayonnaise mixture on all slices of bread. In a medium bowl, combine lettuce, tomato and bacon. Spoon a full 1/2 cup mixture on half the bread slices, then top each with another slice of bread, mayonnaise side down. Grill for 4-5 minutes, or until bread is toasted and filling is hot. Serve.

Salmon & Green Bean Salad ($8.23)
1/2 lb. Artic Bay canned salmon, drained, skin & bones removed, broken into chunks
2-2/3 cups Happy Harvest green beans, thawed
1-1/4 small onions, sliced, separated into rings
1 t. Spice Club minced garlic
1/4 cup plus 3 Tbs. SaladMate Italian dressing
2 cups Freshire Farms garden salad
1 cup grape tomatoes

Combine salmon, green beans, onion and garlic in a bowl. Pour salad dressing over salmon mixture and toss gently. Refrigerate to blend flavors. Serve on bed of shredded lettuce and garnish with tomatoes.

You can do anything that you put your mind to, regardless of your shortcomings.
