I did lasik about 10 years ago, when it was still pretty new. It was painless and super quick (few second per eye) and easy! I had a good doctor, and everything went well. He was cautious about the lasering and I didn't get completely clear sight, but almost 20/20. That was a little annoying at first, but I was just so glad to be able to see without glasses. Now I've gone through some eye changes with aging, where my eyes are getting old and stiffer. I've been lucky that one eye has taken over far seeing, and the other eye does the close-up seeing and reading, and my brain has adjusted. At my recent eye appointment the doctor said I was now 20/20, and would not need any corrective glasses or anything because my eyes did this on their own. I recommend Lasik highly.

Anyone had Lasik? I'm scheduled for my appointment on August 27 and so stoked to be able to see the alarm clock and read a book without holding it three inches from my face!

Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this surgery.

Edited for typo.
