Challenge-Week 2

Give yourself 15 points for each day that you meet the goals and a bonus of 30 if you managed it on all seven days! Copy the part below and edit it when you reach a goal.



Sunday - After this first week of challenge it is time to rest. Be sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep today.

Monday - Mondays are always tough, reflect on what motivates you on this weight loss journey. Kids, health, a bikini? Whatever it is, bring it back to the front of your mind and tell us what keeps you going.

Tuesday - After this first day of motivation we are looking for more support: Find a song that motivates you, whether you are down or for your workout, find that song that can motivate you. Share it with us.

Wednesday - We all love Romances. What is the perfect romantic date for you? Write in your group thread or blog about it.

Thursday - Eat two servings of fruit today.

Friday - Send a SparkGoodie to someone from this team that you don't know yet, or write a comment on his/her blog or sparkpage

Saturday - Reward yourself. Choose whatever works for you, a hot bath, a nice book. Take a deep breath and remember that you deserve to feel good.

Points:
Sunday: 8 hours of sleep with two young children is a miracle, but I achieved it!!
Monday: My motivation is my children and my health. I want to raise my children with better habits than I have. I'm also out running the family diabetes epidemic. I was re-energized today to realize that my weight-loss ticker marks me as 1/4 of my way to my goal weight. Though it took two years (with time off for pregnancy), I'm doing it.
Tuesday: During workouts I listen to Celtic folk music "Sons of Somerled" by Steve MacDonald. I find most ofthe songs are upbeat, plus I like the story that it tells.
Wednesday: My perfect date is a few hours without the children, though I love them dearly, to have dinner with my husband and some adult conversation.

I'm in. This looks really fun!

Summer Challenge - Week 1

Sunday Discovery: Started Rachel Gibson's "Tangled Up in You" as my gym/car book on Monday. I don't know if I will be done by the end of the week, but so far so good.
Monday 'Me'-time: Take at least 20 minutes before bed to read
Tuesday Social: done
Wednesday Workout: Daily Monday-Friday. I take Saturday and Sunday as "rest days" and as time to do/catch up on household chores.
Thursday Blogging: Scary Day (though DH is getting better) posted Friday
Friday Nutrition: done
Saturday Conclusion: I haven't finished the book, but there is a lot of background and getting to know the characters without the characters getting to know each other. This seems like there should be other books continuing the story of the main characters friends. Overall, not bad so far.
