I've used walking as one of my major forms of transportation for ages. I'm a city dweller and to be honest it's one of the quickest ways to get around in the city. About ten years ago I started taking to it to clear my head as well....there's nothing that makes me less frustrated faster and it also helps me think. Now with it being fall in these parts I can't keep myself in. Because of the transit thing I'm a year round walker too (and yes I live in a state with a real winter and a real chance of rain when it's not winter) easily solved by ice cleats, good boots, good layers and carrying an umbrella if it really looks rainy. The heat does keep me in a bit in summer because I'm quite heat intolerant but I can still manage in the morning or evening.

Time to stop trying to solve things with food (lack of included) that food won't solve. Food solves one thing: bodily hunger.
I began walking around my block . Now i am power walking again after a long break. I power walk for 1 hour i do over 5000 steps trying to reach 10,000 steps and my miles are 3 miles trying to reach for 4 to five. I just started to add in jogging to make it more intense.Plus i need to lose weight.

I started with a 3 mile a day streak. The streak lasted 51 days, but it was enough to get me out the door. As long as it is safe to go outside (weather-wise), I either walk or run at least 3 miles a day now.
