Have I mentioned ADHD and poor moods can be attributed to low body temp below 98.2 from doing more than health can safely provide on that given day? A habit of going beyond personal best without a mid-stream recharge is damaging. I found this interesting information under thyroid issues of fatigue.

I understand all of that. I went to college for Early Childhood Education and I pushed myself way to far and ended up having to drop out. But I also suffer from agoraphobia (social situations), but I was okay with kids, just not the students in my classes. That was too much for me. I ended up being hospitalized for a few days for mental health issues. It's were I discovered that I had agoraphobia. My fibromyalgia and agoraphobia play off each other and makes it so hard to do anything.

Some people doing better with fibromyalgia then other, but I found out they are researching on possible being two types. One that just involves the pain and the other involves the pain and other conditions that go with it such as depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia.

I hope your able to work through the fibro., ADHD, and dyslexia. Student teachers are needed so badly. Just because I couldn't make doesn't mean you can't. Keep the kids in your thoughts, that helped me through the first semester of college. You sure have a lot on your plate with all the different kids that need different things, but that can be a blessing. You can do this. I live with the regret of not being able work with kids like I want to.

Good advice! Unfortunately student teaching leaves little choice but to push oneself to the limit. Every student teacher (and veteran teacher) I have ever talked to said it is the hardest thing they ever did in their life. Early mornings at school, teaching kids all day and staying late for various other responsibilities (meetings, tutoring, conferences, time for teacher feedback and reflections, grade level team meetings, etc.). On top of that comes the hours planning and weekly evaluations from a field instructor...then the final hurdle...the TPA (Teacher Performance Assessment) which is a compilation of what I have done all quarter...student work, essays, videos of my teaching plus commentary and my student's test scores are included...then it is scored by the state who decides whether or not I have earned my certificate.

Basically, 10 hour days plus 2-3 hours planning at night at least (plus I have ADHD and dyslexia so it takes me longer to plan) with detailed lesson plans that must be written with evidence that you are aware of student demographics and provide learning opportunities for those above, on, and below grade level. I have an autistic student, one in foster care who needs to be at an adult's side at all times, 6 students with Individual education plans, and 6 English language learners (23 total students). Wish me luck...I just need to survive for 3 months! :)

You and every one of our team can benefit from nutrition. You are welcome. I learned these tools from my Doctor of Nutrition. Nutrition is sometimes better than over-the-counter commercial relief products. And sometimes with nutritional support these positive side-effects only get better.

I no longer condone spending more energy than I have. My new limits are amazingly stingy. They have to be! I was 24 hour female in underpaid positions under the pink glass ceiling doing more than one job most weeks of the year. Exhaustion is never an exciting diagnosis like cancer or heart attack but the financial devastation is just as real. The avoidance of too many spirit lifting things must be bypassed. Too many years of poor thyroid care (I stopped producing enough T3 thyroid hormone that was most needed and doc did not look or tested for it) and fellow recharging organs wore-out.

It is said that ADHD is less obvious with T3 replacements after blood work shows the way.

We have all tried to do more than fibromyalgia would allow. Doing more than I should evolves into extreme tiredness that leads to low body temps (silent near deadly hypothermia 98point 4 degrees Fahrenheit and below) and the potential invitations for viral, fungal and bacterial invasion. I still love life. It is now the speed of a ninety year old but ‘soo’ much less pain and body ache. So be careful to only spend what you can recharge or regret the poor health as a permanent message to kiss it. Keep It Simple, Sweets!

Margie you are a genius! Your explanation makes perfect sense...probably because you speak in my language (science). I am definitely keeping that journal/calender so I can make use of this incredibly sound advice. I am going to share this information with my partner as well, who suffers from Schleroderma. I will also check out energy X is it fairly inexpensive? I may be asking you more questions about this soon so stay tuned! You made my day. emoticon THAT's emoticon

Oh, yes I know this one well. In the scientific field, we are 60% water. As the moon pulls the ‘poolings’ of the bodies of water; it pulls on us. The mammal body male and female have monthly cycling patterns. Men tend to fall to flu or infection of down side in a 4 week pattern. They are less familiar with their own shifts in immune actions as well, even they have cycling of peaks and valleys.

In the patterns of the ‘immune weakest side’ are the most accepting of fertility moments. The female has roughly 14 days first with ovulation and the following week to really notice the shifting to make the awareness on the days of strong and weak. The body is designed this way to weaken the immune system to accept foreign sources for fertility to be accomplished. In this section of the ‘month’ I am on my weaker puffier achier side. The other 2 weeks are the building side. I feel my strongest here. I try to schedule strenuous projects accordingly, but sometimes I can not control it. Those days are for building that inner nest for new life’s chances and for the host the female body and abdominal nest to recharge to support a next potentially ripe egg. My immune system is full of gentle reminders, if I care to take the time to listen; of how poorly I have watched the calendar tick off my better days to find my un-prepared, all too often.

The mood is one of the first to indicate a shift. Sleep patterns while available are not as deep I would need due to that hormone dancing act. Then because the hormones have shifted in volume and interact with all the other ones shifting for an opportunity to do better; I cut out inflammation prone foods. I avoid sugar and I reach for fewer stimulants. I a sure, at least 30 minutes before the clock marks bedtime I turn off all or any electronics and intentional bright lights and loud sounds before sleep time. I need to pamper more with kind words in my head and shared with others. Soothing rituals like applying scented hand and body lotion, bubble baths or selecting fun colors on me or around me can help to enhance good moods. I do not always respect my newest limits that are better for me.

I have immune support herbs that I stop taking on the high side. I ensure vitamin and mineral nutrition everyday so if I slip again the reserves in my tissues can help reduce pain and discomfort of the immune weak side of my inner world.

I use Dong qui for the smooth muscle ache.
A bland blend called energy-X of: ashwagandha, rhodiola, cordyceps sinensis mushroom and other plants similar in the much needed properties; to please away the ache and appease the spirit past the rough lack of sleep, raw feelings, and the extra stresses of foods medicines and toxins; especially, the ones that are known to cause additional inflammation in me. Mine is provided by Pure Encapsulations brand. And the doctor answered my questions before buying. Malic acid and Vitamin “B5” are essential at this time and beyond to handle my Fibro symptoms all month long. Heroes with no negative side effects.

Any chemical/hormonal changes in the body are going to affect your fibromyalgia symptoms. Even barometric changes do! LOL

I don't have that issue any more... age does have a few advantages... LOL

That's good advice. I should track my period more closely but being with a female partner the need to watch for a pregnancy popping up isn't necessary. But, that being said I think there is a lot of logic in keeping track with this new knowledge I have about this. I should try to keep a period/pain/mood journal I bet that would do wonders. Interesting we truly are lifelong learners in this journey.

Love the link thanks! I grew up being involved in the some of the Native Pow-wows. Being part of the only white person ran booth, on a few reservations I tried to learn as much as I could. I don't remember a lot just the few of the things that stuck in my head. I remember how I loved learning about the culture. Which is probably why I ended up going down the Wiccan path. Close to the Native believes, but still has its own history and cultural differences.

The investigating I've done is been following my body pattern. I pretty sure next month mine will land on the new moon. But by the beginning of fall I'll be getting it on or close to the full moon.

Good luck on your teacher performance assessment. You'll do great, just hold in there. Remember to take a few breaks here and there, because after those breaks good ideas usually sprout.

I read something really interesting about the moon cycles and menstruation. Have not had a huge amount of time to invest in experimenting with it but it was interesting because I have heard little tid bits here and there. I am Native and believe that this can definitely be a powerful time but I sure don't feel very powerful when I am wracked with pain for a week or so every month...I think it is really the worst just before my period and then subsides as my period comes to an end. I am a little concerned about this phenomenon as June approaches because during that cycle I have one of the most important portfolios I have ever created due. It is my teacher performance assessment just as my student teaching is coming to an end and when I hear from everyone I should be exhausted by that time. Student teaching is tough it's not just teaching but all the hoops you have to jump through along the way and all of the hours of preparation it entails. Just thoughts...my brain tells me to take it one day at a time but the planner in me won't cooperate, lol.

Thank you for your thoughts very interesting you obviously know your stuff and I am glad I am not alone in this. I am including the link for the article I read I just started subscribing to their free news letter thought you might enjoy it as well. Take care. www.domesticdiva.ca/tag/moon-cycles/

Yes, my fibro. pain is worse during my menstrual cycle. I don't do anything else really special. I just deal with the pain and try not to become to much of a nagger towards my husband. Having support through the pain helps. Just knowing my husband is there really helps.

As for the moon and the menstrual cycle, I think sometimes they connect with the full moon. But as the calender and moon phases change so does our cycle. There are some months that I get it on or around the full moon and times I get it around or on the new moon. This month it's been more near the new moon then the full. Personally I haven't really noticed a difference in my cycles during the moon phases. But I have heard that a woman is most powerful while having her cycle on the full moon. Mostly it's the more earth bound beliefs that follow this form of thinking. Native Americans won't let a woman cook for the men, because the men end up getting sick from the power that the women have during the cycle. Also they are not allowed into the Pow Wow circles on the cycle, because the power is to much for the circle. I'm Wiccan and we tend to use our cycle (depending on the moon phase it lands on) to help us in performing certain rituals (or avoid certain ones.) Not anything harmful to anyone.
I'm not sure what other believes out there see the woman's cycle as powerful. I know some of the more mainstream religions think it dirty, like we have any control over having our cycle or not.

Hi, I have noticed my fibro symptoms worsen when I am on my period as well as a very low tolerance to stress. Has anyone else experienced that? If so would you share your experiences with it? If you have any advice or have found something that works for you (other than exercise and vitamins because I do that already and extra rest is not an option at this point in my life). Thanks! Looking forward to your responses even it is just to share your feelings about it in your own life, etc. Also if you have a full moon period it would be interesting to hear this as well. I have been reading about moon cycles and menstruation but not in relation to fibro.
