Most of the tips I have are repeats of the good ones given to you by other team members but here is my shot…
This could be a serious sign of ill health beyond Fibromyalgia and may need a doctor to find the cause.
Do not ignore it.
Some medications not always listed in the fine print, diabetes, hypothyroidism, or kidney problems just starting, artificial sweeteners, heavy salt hidden in foods are all possible ideas for such thirstiness.
Good luck and we hope it is temporary and not serious.

The greatest love story is your own.
If you miss out of life to the fullest; they win.
You are the happiness master of your own mind.
Thought is an active dynamic energy to harmonize and corrolate good.
Clear all paths to love thru forgiveness.
I may not recognize the significance until some time later.
Is my resistance to change really that strong?
Impatience does not provide the time to learn the lesson;
Awaken new ways to approach the dissolving of a problem;

Stevia is a Godsend! I don't get the dryness at all with it. I have found that it tastes great and doesn't have all the nasty chemicals and side effects. Splenda (sucralose) was the absolute worst for me. I was so excited when I found Truvia and Purevia.

I now usually drink water. Occasionally I will have the Vitamin Water Zero or the SoBe lo-cal both are sweetened with stevia.

Ditto on the Stevia. I have used it for years because the chemical sweeteners cause me to gain weight, but the Stevia doesn't. I have found that it was definitely the answer for me and when I stopped using it a while back and started flavoring things with artificial sweeteners I started gaining again. That is the one major switch I made in my diet back to what worked when I decided to get back on track.

Have you tried stevia instead of the chemical sweeteners? You can get pure stevia through the online vitamin stores. At the supermarket, one of the brands is Truvia in packets. It's made from plant leaves, NO CHEMICALS. I love it!!

My mouth is really dry from fibro and meds. My eyes are very dry too for the same reasons. Artificial sweeteners make the dryness terrible!

I do drink more water since getting fibro.Never thought about it till your post. Maybe it is due to all the medication they prescribe and not the fibro itself?

I take Topamax for fibro, which gives me REALLY excessive thirst, so bad that if I forget my water bottle I get so dry I can barely talk.

It is great that you stay thirsty. I read somewhere that those of us with FM should drink at least 10 glasses of water a day, but a lot of us don't have systems that insist on it like yours does and so we don't and are the worse off for not drinking it. Good for you!!!!

I read this in one book that I read about FMS, but I am always so thirsty. I will go through 3-4 liters of water and will still feel thirsty. Has anyone else come across this and, if so, how do you combat it? Or am I SOL and just have to drink tons and tons and tons of water?

Be the change you want to see
