I use tramadol at night for severe pain, glucosamine and chondroitin with MSM, tart cherry capsules twice a day, and I do also practice meditation and TM.

I do use some meditation--mostly short burst, and then there's the mindfulness in motion type, like Tai Chi and slow motion dancing-- since being in a static position for more than a few minutes can often trigger painful muscle spasms for me. I also do physical therapy exercises that concentrate on stretching and strength-building. When ever I can, I do water aerobics, and every day I walk... even bad days I have to do SOMETHING-- use it or lose it, y'know? LOL

...and there's laughter. It releases endorphins!

... Every little bit helps...

And Every moment is a gift. That's why they call it the "present"... LOL

Hi i am in Australia and have not heard of the Myers cocktails. I don't have any pain management from my doctor as she doesn't think I should be on any medications. I personally use meditiation to overcome my pain. Would like to hear if anyone else does this as well

I did Myers cocktails for 10 months but didn't really benefit. I DO use alternative
, actually holistic medicine combined with conventional medicine to manage my fibro. I use supplements, energy work and reiki.

Nope, never heard of 'em... and not going there! LOL

I take a small dose of Vicodin, twice a day, with an occasional bolus for really bad days... I got tired of being a guinea pig, and having horrid reactions to stuff, so other than that, the meds I take are NOT for fibro but for my other health issues. I use exercise and warm water and ice... and an occasional tear or two... and LOTS of laughter! Yep, a good laugh releases endorphins, and there is nothing better!

I never heard of Myers cocktails either. I haven't tried a natural approach to the fibromyalia pain yet. I'm still doing my research on it. I have tried drinking cherry juice for the pain and that did seem to help some. I need to pick up another bottle.

never heard of myers cocktails. I do take gabapentin from my doctor that is a prescribed medication but I also take glucosamine chondroitin that noticeably helps my joint and muscle aches...when I run out I am definitely in more pain in a short amount of time. I am also taking l carnitine that I heard was good for fibro and omega369 along with tumeric curcumin for inflammation and a multivitamin. I take other supplements for my eye problems too. The supplements I take seem to help. I think I saw a bunch of supplements listed for different problems you get with fibro and found the l carnitine...I got something else too but I forget what it was now but it seemed to do the same thing that l carnitine is supposed to do so I am saving it for after I use up that bottle to try....always looking for more natural alternatives. I use icy hot or other topical creams for the pain but it seems to offer only temporary relief. I also take aleve or ibuprofen when the pain gets too intense...hope that helps.
