Coping with upper body and arm pain from pulling oak leaves out of our decorative bushes yesterday; therefore, today will be in-home aerobics: going up and down the stairs until my heart rate is up, then fast walking the length of the house and back to total 15 minutes.

Hi all just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Susan and was just told by my PT that I have the beginning stages of fibro, which explains a lot. What Do all you do that seems to help? I'm considering taking up yoga to stretch and have been trying to hydrate myself consistently vs. Only when I feel thirsty (hardly ever).

I am going to walk for another hour today, this time with a fifteen minute break, yesterday it was 20 minutes.

I have a few hours before bed but I don't think I'm going to make it, me and the vacuum had issues today.

Good luck on getting something done!

I changed my goal for today. I no longer wish to break knees. My goal is to do my home PT exercises at least half of everything. I was going to go for a walk but the temp dropped 20 degrees since I woke up. So, instead I will work on sitting upright instead of constantly laying down. I need to build strength in my core.

I hope everyone has a care free day!

Update...I sat up for a while a couple of times and I did 2 seemingly harmless exercises and now I hurt like hell. So, I guess a little less time on those tomorrow.

I have been forgetting daily goals. I don't know if its been one or two days but I find it helpful to try something. If I can or can't do it doesn't matter. Just as long as I try.

My goal for today is to lay off the thin bread. I ate all 8 pieces yesterday. I had three of them today. I love them! However showing so much affection for any food can't be good. Also, I am going to get back on track with my calories. I didn't do well yesterday so I am climbing back on the woo hoo trail!

PS its in the 30's here in Dallas. I feel ya Linda!

Great job! I didn't make it to the mail box, I made it to the dining room. My knee popped inward and now it clicks with every step I make. Its grossing honey out. Maybe I should just stop making goals. Its getting depressing.


Update: At five this morning I decided I was going to go outside hell or high water. I walked to the mailbox. I accomplished my goal, a little late. It will be a very long time or some kind of intervention before I even consider doing it again.

I'd be very happy to have someone come over and dust & vacuum in exchange for money and food. I vacuum everyday, just a different part everyday. My back won't stand for a lot of vacuuming.

My goal for today is that it gets warm enough so I can work in the garden. I don't know if we'll get the 30-40 degrees increase that the weatherman says we'll get. It's 20 here right now.

Linda, I know what you mean. I think your list got longer.

I didn't do the dishes, Emily did the dishes and vacuumed and dusted. She's not my maid, we're kinda friends, I don't know what to call it, anyways when she is broke every week she comes and cleans my house for money. Its too ostentatious to call her the maid or even a housekeeper. She eats, cleans, eats some more gets cleaned up and leaves. Not many maids use your shower. So, it is what it is. At any rate, I did not accomplish my goal.

Tonight my goal is to hang out with honey.

There are not many posts here this week. I am hoping that its because everyone is too busy doing to sit and think on it.

My goal for today is to take a shower. I did a load of laundry and I won't try that again this week. So, all I feel like I can manage is to get in the shower, get my legs shaved and comb my hair.


I took a bath. My body just refused to stand in the shower. How rude! I did manage to get cleaned up though and I guess that was the point. All the fat is coming out of my head, that's how my hair gets so dirty.

My goal for Saturday was to start riding my exercycle every day for 10 minutes. I did that Saturday, but couldn't get myself to do it yesterday.

Today I talked myself into doing it again - and did. I'd like to make this into a habit since I get no other exercise.

Hi y'all! Yesterday was anti-diet day or what I call eat anything day. I didn't eat all the junk I thought I would but none the less there was candy involved.

Todays goals are to get to a doc in the box and ask for some sinus stuff and a referral and to track everything, for better or worse.

I accomplished my goals for yesterday. I tracked what I ate, did pretty good and I got the ok to go out. Then I went to CVS, saw all the sick people and think today I will try to clean off my dresser. I bet i'll find a million treasures buried under all that stuff.

I have trouble getting enough water too but today my goal is to get outside. I've been house bound for days now what with the ice and miserable weather. Wouldn't do to fall and break something.

I'm going to try to ride my exercise bike for 10 minutes. Our TOPS challenge for the week is to do 10 minutes of exercise three times during the week. I got the first 10 minutes yesterday by walking in the grocery store.

Or, if the weather is nice, I may walk my dogs for 10 minutes instead.

My goal today is to get my dressing made for my Turkey, then prepare things for Thanksgiving for Sunday and then get some Cardio in and then rest. That way I can get up for church in the morning and enjoy the Lord's Day and Thanksgiving as well.

To do a good job of resting. emoticon This is one of those days when resting is the smartest thing I can do, especially with the workweek starting again tomorrow. My husband is a wonderful support person for me and helps me to rest when that is all I can - and should - do. Gentle hugs to you all!
