I made the Pasta Italiano recipe from sparkrecipes the other night. It was really good, although it tends to need some extra liquid after the first night. I added some garlic powder and Italian seasoning during cooking. Next time I'll also add red pepper flakes.

My husband & I love seafood - the kids, not so much. The little one (8) will eat it occassionally but the older one (10) is way too picky. I've even tried to trick them. The first time I made the tilapia, I didn't tell them it was actually fish. I just told them it was tilapia. They took a bite or two and that was it. So, last night while my husband and I were eating the fish & veggies, the girls ate Ramen Noodles & cereal (ugh!).

Have you guys tried those zip loc steam bags? I love them. I hate frozen and can vegetables, I prefer fresh and the steam bags make it so easy! All you do is put whatever you want to cook in the bag (you can cook also cook meat in there too), then sprinkle what ever seasoning you want and close the bag. The cooking times are printed on the bag based on whether you’ve got a full bag or half a bag. Everything comes out awesome! I love to do green beans in there. I am famous for my garlic green beans, but usually I cook them in the skillet with like ¾ cup of butter (horrible I know). With the steam bags, I put the same seasonings and only about 1 tbls of butter and they came out almost exactly the same! These have helped me cook more at home. I’ve been a fast food junkie, because I don’t really have time to cook by the time I get home from work, but with these bags I can have a healthy home cooked meal in minutes. They’re very reasonably priced and come in 2 sizes.

Now if I had something with beans for lunch and again for dinner, my husband would make me sleep in the garage! lol...

i had 2 tostada's tonight for dinner with reduced sodium beans and turkey meat. It was yummmy. :)
although for lunch i did have a stupid quesdilla with beans and rice from adobe cafe. Although it was the lunch size which is smaller so hopefully that helped. I doubt it though....

I won't discuss tonight's dinner, but for lunch I had some of my homemade vegetable soup. It's only 178 calories per serving!
