Our first dance will either be God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton, or If I Ain't Got You but Alicia Keys,but the version that Adam Levine did. That's the only musical decision we've made! We won't be doing any chicken dances or macarena, etc. I'm even against the YMCA! Cotton Eyed Joe is the only possible "group" dance that we're considering.
Our first dance will be "Always" By Switchfoot, and our entrance song is going to be "All Your Love Is A Song", also by Switchfoot.
My fiance dislikes country--and that's an understatement--but I love it! I told the DJ somewhere during the night he needs to play "Crazy Girl". I think of my fiance every time I hear the chorus;
"Crazy girl, don't you know that I love you? I wouldn't dream of going nowhere! Silly woman, come here let me hold you; Have I told you lately, I love you like Crazy, girl."
I believe that Imagination is stronger than Knowledge. That Myth is more potent than History. That Dreams are more powerful than Facts. That Laughter is the only cure for Grief. And I believe that Love is stronger than Death.
I've been thinking God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton would be a great first dance song. It's been hard for me (us) to pick a song. I love dancing, and used to teach country dance lessons. My fiance, not so much. I love him to death, but the poor guy just can't seem to pick it up. He does try, and I appreciate it. I don't want to pick a song that is too difficult to dance to. God Gave Me You is slower, and very sweet, so I think it's a winner.

Our first dance Song is I swear by John Michael Montgomery. (we love country music) and the song has special meaning to us, before we were engaged my fiance told me the song that reminded him of me was I swear, and I knew from that moment on I was going to spend the rest of my life with him!
I'm dancing with my daddy to My Little girl by Tim McGraw
My fiance & I are having trouble finding a song for him to dance with his mother to. Anyone have any suggestions?
We haven't decided on any dance songs yet, but my fiance and I are avid concert goers (he actually proposed right after we went to see my favorite band on New Years Eve) so we plan to play at least 1 song from every band we've ever seen in concert together at our reception. We thought it would be a fun way to include something we really enjoy doing together on our special day :)

Our first dance will be kind of unusual. It is called "The Secret of Happiness (Reprise)" and is from a musical called Daddy Long Legs. I am a drama teacher and we saw the musical together and it just felt perfect. It is also waltz which I think will be really sweet.
We have picked out some of our music. Our first dance will be to "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" (Elvis), to which we will waltz. We've picked out several other's, but I don't remember the titles and artists of most.
As far as the Chicken Dance: we have banned it. We will be doing swing and ballroom dance. People can dance to whatever the DJ puts on as well. In addition, I have a friend who is a Zumba instructor who I have encouraged to teach silly dances after she joked about doing so; we'll see if she lives up to the challenge.
