It went really well! We really liked this guy - lots of good reviews and featured in theknot best of weddings for 2008 and 2009. I didn't find out about insurance... forgot to ask! I hear most photographers are pushing people to hire 2 photographers which is what this guy did, but I think it's a great idea. If you do this, try to find one that overlaps. Meaning - we liked the 10 hour offer - you can have the first photographer come in at 3:00 for the getting ready stage and then the second will join at like, 6:00 for the ceremony... then they'll overlap for like 2 hours before the first one leaves and then the second photographer will stay for the other stuff that you really only need one for. It makes sense when they tell you about it, I probably just made it really confusing. Anyway, it was fun to look at all the albums and stuff!!

I've found a lot of good tips online as for questions to ask. Such as if they have a family emergency or something on your wedding day do they have a back up person? Do they carry their own insurance (most professionals do) but I guess some venues ask for photographers and DJs to show proof of insurance. Let us know how it goes, because I have to call one soon and could also use some feedback.

We're going to our first photographer visit this morning... excited!!! Not sure what to expect. Any tips on how to pick a good one?
