I need to go back and check to see what my numbers were for last year.
I have not been to the gym since the 22nd so I am hoping to get there today.

No it doesn't look good for my going away in January. I wanted to go while my oldest daughter is home from college so my husband had back up because he works so far from home. But the conflict in schedules and Birthdays and Holiday and when she has to go back to school doesn't work out for me (of course it doesn't)!
It probably wouldn't be a good time anyway since my Brother in law is in the Hospital in the ICU and we don't know what is going to go on with him.
But I did ask and he did look up the flights and the pricing and then he said $198 round trip was too much money. I told him he didn't have a choice.
But it doesn't matter now anyway.
every thing here is still the same.
My middle daughter has begun her driving lessons.
The weather is brutal first snow then rain then snow. I really don't like this weather.
I am glad to hear you are feeling better, you will be zumbaing in no time.
Hope to hear from you soon.
I have to repost because I didn't do my #'s yet I just wanted to check in and say hi.

HI....how is your weather at the moment? It changed out plans to go to a friend's open house emoticon

but we are warm at the moment.

I saw one plow, one go by and we live on route 40!!

Hope you go to Florida...I have friends that keep inviting me but it never seems to be a good time.

Feel decent except for little muscle aches..that is manageable.

All caught up on my minutes, Just in time for the snow.
I have been working out after work because I had the early shift last week.
I feel tired. I hate this weather. I keep waking up with a headache.
I asked my husband to get me a round trip air line ticket for Florida. I want to go in January to visit my family and one friend that I have know since before I got married.
So that is about 24 years.
A long time to keep a friend you make at work.
Hope you are feeling like your old self again.
This month is going to be hecktic I hope you relax some and take good care of yourself.
I will check back in with good things to report I hope.

Aww, Terri, Sorry to hear about your thyroid condition. My niece had that a few years ago. She is doing well as I hope you will.
I hope your Thanksgiving was better than mine.
My husbands Uncle passed away Wednesday. That made for a very down thanksgiving.
Then we went to the wake Or sort of. Read my blog.

Well yes I think that having a husband who wants your attention is better than one who doesn't. How ever most of the time my relation ship feel more like I am a geisha than a wife or partner.

However, I finally received my Certificate in Sports Nutrition Counseling. So that made me very happy. Now I feel like I have completed something that I started in my life.
I have been working and working out. So that is a good step for me. I have made time for myself and I am still struggling to get my house under control.
And Now I have a new mission. To start my research on starting my counseling service.

I hope you are doing well. I hope if I don't get back on here again before Thanksgiving that you and your family have a happy healthy holiday. Remember to drink you water.

Ok I am all caught up on my exercise minutes,
My husband took me to the city last Friday and we went on a carriage ride around central park and then dinner and then to see The Jersey Boys. The show was great.
It was cold for a Carriage ride but I enjoyed it.
I haven't been able to work out as much as I would like but I am doing the best I can with having a new job and everything else.
like an annoying husband that doesn't stop trying to get my attention.

All caught up to date on my fitness minutes. I have been working every day so far and I have only had time to work out 3 days. I am off tomorrow and am looking forward to working out longer and harder tomorrow.
I have got to buy a short jacket because I have a date with my husband and I need a jacket that I can't fit 2 people in. The 2 jackets I have from the last several years are way to big on me now. Who would have thought losing only 20 lbs would make your jackets seem so huge?
Not me.
I guess I should have realized it buy the way my other clothes fit but I didn't. I have even had to use some older blouses for work and they are way too big on me and I remember wearing them thinking they were comfortable. O well time to buy new clothes.

Well I haven't been working out as much. But I did complete my certification of nutrition for fitness.
I well get on the scale and do my measurements tomorrow.
I am thinking there is something wrong with this link because I seem to be the only one posting.
Any way I have not herd back from the position from the gym. I did inquire with the GM as to weather or not they started interviewing but they have not as of yet.
So I am guessing that is a good sign.
So I am going to start looking into other areas since I have my certification on it's way in the mail.

I hope everyone is doing well. Keep the focus on you and make sure that you are taking in your water.

Carrie: believe it or not OCC called me today while I was in my New car on the way to red bank to a temp agency. They need more paperwork. They shouldn't because they are now asking for the same stuff they already have but I told her I would bring it in on Monday.

Stress level got much worse here over the holiday weekend. It was my birthday and it was complete disaster. That is ok because I have learned my limits on what I can and can't tolerate and have move on in a better direction because of it.
I have been going to the gym but not working out as hard as I would have like. Spending too much time chatting. I applied for a job there so at that point I will be going to the gym around 7 am and working at 9am and getting home around 6:30 pm except for the next 3 Wenesdays because I have the Nutrition for fitness class at the Vocational school. That will help with the La Fitness position. Although I didn't have that job in mind when I signed up. But you know how they say one door closes and one opens.

hope it is feeling much better.
stress level here is pretty consistent. just found out yesterday that I am 30th on the list of Student loan approval and may not be able to take fall classes with out paying it out of pocket. it seams that every time I think I have a grip on stuff things change and cause a set back. Frustrationg. But at least my weight loss is plugging along.
summer is ending and it is almost time to take my daughter back to school.
keep drinking your water and moving, just because it isn't nearly as hot doesn't mean that we should stop drinking.

I am so excited I finally hit my 20lb mark it took me 364 days. I will take it.
I was surprised to see I was so close to the 1 year mark. I happy just the same I just wish I did it a little quicker. But I did it.

Munchkin: Give yourself some time to get back to a sense of normalcy.. You've just had a major life change and it will take time before things settle down again. I hear you about the "never again" taking a condensed course! NEVER EVER EVER! It was pure hell!

Terri: You're quite welcome :) Even though I don't pop on here every day all of you are in my thoughts and prayers..

2 more weeks and I can get rid of these kittens! I'm going to get in touch with a kitten rescue in the area to see if they can help me with the adoptions.. It's getting to be way too much. At least they are not being bottle fed any more. Having 7 of them in my bedroom is not a joy! They have discovered how to get on to my bed and last night I had 5 of them in the bed with me.. Not a good sleeping situation! They get up in the middle of the night and start playing and climbing on me and wanting to sleep on top of me.. My dog has moved to the sofa.. I'm thinking of joining her! Lol..

Good Morning I hope everyone is doing well. I have been slacking a bit but I am trying to get back into the swing of me. Not easy. Still dealing with the house for the aunt and trying to cope with my husbands mood swings and his not wanting me to go and visit relatives.

They just try to squeeze all the work in to a shorter amount of time. That was the problem I had with the Quick start program 15 weeks of math squeezed into 10 weeks. WOW. Never again.

Terri: Sorry to hear about your knee. I hope it isn't giving you much pain. Keep using it thought it is better to use it lightly then over do. And still far better to use than not use.

well now that I am up and out of bed and had my measurements and weigh in all #'s are up.
Not by a huge amount. and it is the 3week in my cycle. So I am ok with all that. I will hit the gym.

It seems I have more time on my hand than I know what to do with. I went to the gym again today after taking my youngest daughter to the free movie over by the aunt's house. It did seem a little odd to be going over there and knowing she wasn't there. I also did three loads of wash and 2 loads of dish washer and went to the grocery store.
I am going to be having a very busy August and I hope all goes well. I was surprised to get on the scale and realized I lost the pound and a half I had gained under all that stress last week.
Lets see now if the weight drops faster.

Well all the funeral stuff is over and done with, thank god that went of with out any major issues.
I went to the gym the next day and worked up a sweat and aching muscles to compete with the emotional pain. Today I had to deal with all my class issues. I had to re register and run to IRS to get more paper work. Very annoying but it is done now I just have to wait for the loan to process thru.
Thank you all for your support and I hope you keep working out and drinking your water.
It just occurred to me today that I can now spend every day left in this summer laying by my pool and know that I won't have to jump and run. It has been so long that I didn't sleep with my phone next to my head. It is odd not to hear it buzzing all nite either from FB or text messages or emergency calls.

Sorry..forgot to post my minutes..

Oh and I also forgot to tell you. The mama cat abandoned her kittens. She stopped feeding them and taking care of them so guess who's been dropper feeding them on top of all this craziness?? I get up an extra 45 minutes earlier (like 3:30 isn't early enough) to feed them and such.. and come home in between clients if I'm close enough to home to get their feedings in. Some are starting to eat wet food. Some can use the litter box and the rest--well I've become their mama.. Talk about stress!!!

Ihaven't been o the gym until today. My husbands aunt finally passed away on wendsday evening. She had slipped into a comaTuesday not her breathing was raspy and gargley when I got there on wnedsday morning...andshe would stop breathing and then start again..she hadn't taken her meds or eaten or drank anything in days so it was time for her to move on. I stayed with her all day and called my sister in law who came as soon as she could because she had taken her family on a day trip..no one expected her to go this quick. I stayed with her and the aid from 9:30am until my sister in law got there and the rest of the family got there then I left @ 6:50.I went in and said Ok Aunt Mar I am going home I will see you tomorrow.10min after I walked out the door I got the call she was gone. I hadn't even gotten home and we had to turn the cars around and go back.
I wanted to thank you all for you support and advise. I will be back on lune again soon.

Got in a lot of cardio today. I did a lot of driving today and my stress and lack of sleep are starting to show up on the scale. I am trying not to get frustrated with myself especially since the more upset I become the less I feel like eating. It is such a vicious cycle.
Getting up and going to the gym early tomorrow I have movie date with one of my kids, so there will be popcorn involved. Yum
Terri Thanks I am trying. Got all my classes scheduled and did my loan app so I am moving in the right direction even if I don't feel like it.

Carrie: You know I tried to help her months ago with what she was eating but no matter what I did my sister in law was the one buying her crap. Like ice cream and hot coco and chocolate bars, potato chip. Even when she was in the Nursing home she used to bring her food and the
then she would have all kinds of issues with her and they wondered why.
I got her in trouble I ratted her out to the head nurse. And she wasn't allowed to bring her anything any more. Her theory is she is 73 and sick she should be able to eat what ever she wants. My theory is if she took care of her self to begin with she would not be in this position.
Or on the out side not nearly as bad since her weight is a huge part of out problems.
She can't get physical therapy because she is bed ridden now and they put in a catheter, She spend most of her time sleeping and talking in her sleep the other day she only woke up for 2 hrs. So hopefully the end is near. This is not the life she would have chosen.
She is telling people things like she is seeing her dead relatives and that the aid beat her 24 times the night before. We know she didn't because the uncle is there and she doesn't have a mark on her. She keeps asking to go in the pool but she can't even sit up any more on her own. It is very sad.
I however am still pushing at the gym but I am in a standing spot at the moment. Not sure why but I will have to change some stuff up. Maybe get more sleep. I haven't been there in a while I finaly got down to 145 so I will have to be happy with that # for a few weeks. I really want this site to register it as 20lbs by the 3rd week in august. We shall see.

Wow.. Look at you guys go.. You're all awesome! As for me I'm just plunking along..
@Munchkin-I'm so glad it wasn't a bedsore! That would have been horrendous! You sure do have your hands full. It's a shame your aunt can't get out of bed. I hope the aid at least turns her on her sides to relieve the pressure so she doesn't get a bed sore. I wonder if you can talk the doctor into prescribing range of motion exercises that the aide can do with her just to keep her moving a little bit. It's basically the aide taking her arm or leg even wrist and gently flexing and bending them. I'm curious as to what her diet is given that she's 300 pounds.

@Terri-Thanks for the goodie! I sure can use a massage! I've never had one before but I just might splurge one day and get one!

I'm sure there are more minutes but keep forgetting to record. Back from Alaska which was an interesting experience. Took a short 5 day bus trip to Savannah and Charleston. Savannah was really nice, but didn't really get to see much of Charleston because our bus had an accident so we spent a lot of time waiting for the police to make their report. Three day trip to Elkins West Virginia. Road some old trains through the country side which was beautiful.
Now I am in Florida. Bought a townhouse in Bradenton and will be here until October. Back to Jersey and then back to Fl for Christmas. Back to Jersey after New Years and then have to make decision if I want to make a permanent move. Leaning that way.
Doing a lot of walking and spending time in the pool. Weather is warm but not as bad as it seems to be in New Jersey. emoticon

Hit the gym today not for as long as I wanted but I got there. I took my youngest daughter to her well check, she is fine and approved for track in middle school, took my eldest daughter to her dermatologist apt for her alopecia, the gave her a script, picked up my husbands bus tickets, and met with the aunts dr at the house. He is a very nice thorough, caring Dr. He was surprised that my aunt has so many caring nieces and said that he rarely runs into children who care for their parents as well as we do for our aunt.
Any way Carrie you were rite it wasn't a bed sore it was and ingrown hair follicle that the dr. drained and put more antibiotic cream on. She is no longer allowed to get out of bed at all because he said it is way to dangerous. And her size is a contributing factor. She had no use of her legs at this point. And he is having a catheter put in so that we have less to worry about sores. Je cjamged a few of her meds.
my sister in law is still in denial. She still wants to be able to take her out of the bed and put her in the kitchen. But I tried toexplain to her since the aunt can't stand it is not a good idea.
O well. one \more crazy day in my live over with.
I also spoke with one of my brothers he has been having panic and anxiety attacks and they are going to do a stress test on him. He lives in Long Island. So we will see. what happens with him.

Carrie: She had a live in aid and she has hospice aid who come 2 hrs 5 days a week and a nurse who comes 2 times a week. I have to tell you though she weights 300+lbs and the aid can not move her on her own. She isn't allowed to get out of bed unless a family member is there and they want to take her out of bed. My sister in law and I and the aid took her out of bed yesterday. Her legs are not working from the Parkinson's. Because of her weight she had neck rolls and that is where the bed sore is. I changed the bandage yesterday and it looks much better. I will check the paper work but I don't know that other than changing her diaper and feeding her that the aid can do much more. We have an appointment tomorrow with the Dr who is going to the house to see if we need to put her in a nursing home.
It took my sister in law and I and the aid 20 min just to get her to stand and move 2 feet to get her in the wheel chair... then while we had her out of bed she wanted to use the potty and while we were trying to get her cleaned up she was sinking to the ground, we had to put her back on the potty. So it is not an easy situation. But I do appreciate you help.
And that is why I spend so much time in the gym.

Munchkin-how did she manage to get a bed sore on the back of her neck? Did she get that from the hospital or at home? If she got it at home then the aide that is with her isn't doing her job. Check the care plan the next time you go there and make sure there are orders for your aunt to be turned or moved every 2 hours or every hour. Is she just getting a hospice aide or does she have an aide through an agency too? This really has me concerned. I'm sorry that you are going through this. Caring for a loved one is tough! I hope you hear from one of those places you applied at.

Ok I finally got all my hours logged on here at least.
I am not so sure that having the Aunt come home was a good idea. She call 911 today and told them she had a brain aneurism, while she was on the phone with them the aid called my sister in law on the house phone and told her. When we got there it was a bed sore. On the back of her neck. I put some meds on it and covered it the nurse will be there on Sunday.
we had to take her cell phone away. She isn't being very nice to the aid and she is delusional she thinks she won the lottery. She swears at everyone and keeps trying to get out of bed. She can't support her own weight any more so they need a Hoyer to get her up just to sit her.

My kids are all doing well but my husband is not good now. He thinks he pulled a muscle in his leg last weekend but it is still sore and it isn't getting any better it is getting worse.
He was walking into the house when he got a really bad cramp that knocked him out of his sneaker. I tried to get him to go to the ER but after fighting with him and he decides to go he walked out of the ER with out being seen.
I seem to be surrounded with people who need me and maybe that is why I have not been able to get a job.
Carrie: I did apply to the shop rite on Fischer, and to the new Bahama breeze. So maybe I will get called from either of them.
Terri: You look great keep up with that zumba, I still haven't gotten in there.
So atleast with all the craziness in my life I am still trying to look out for me. I do have my days that I don't want to be in the gym but for the most part it is a distraction and I am doing something for myself.
Everyone keep drinking that water or crystal lite and take your vitamins.

Sorry I haven't been here. Life has been crazy between work stomach flu and school. I don't think I will ever take a 5 week summer course again. The course wasn't scaled down at all so I am doing 3 months of coursework in 5 week's time. UGH!! Never again!
Munchkin I'm so sorry about your aunt. I will keep her in my prayers as well.
Terri for the ants I do 1 of 2 things: I either sprinkle straight cayenne pepper around every windowsill and doorway or if there is a tiny hole where they are coming in from I use a spray bottle and make a very concentrated spray of it. I also get some aluminum foil and soak it in the solution and plug up the hole. Ants used to crawl in through my kitchen windows. I have old windows that really need to be replaced and there was a little hole where they were coming in. I do this every spring and I haven't had an ant problem. You have to watch and see where they are coming in from. I hope this helps!

Hey, Sorry I haven't been around I just realized I never logged in my exercise's since they changed the program which is April 27 my last entry. I have thousands of min to add and I will make a point of it ASAP.
We took my daughter to AC for her birthday and we all had a great time. Today was my youngest daughters 11th birthday Can't believe it.
How time fly when your having fun.
My weight loss has stalled but I am betting It has to do with all the stress in my life since my daughter came home from college and the lack of sleep I am getting. I am still struggling to remember to eat but I am making a point of eating good foods when I do. There is so much to fill in on I will be here all nite.
My aunt is out of the rehab and they just called in hospice... she really isn't eating as much as she should be and she just recently has decided she doesn't feel like talking. I am sure she if frustrated. I would be given the situation. So it is just a matter of time before her Parkinson's and Addison's catches up with her and she has so many other things working against her. She is 400lbs and diabetic to boot. So I have been running errands for her on be half of my sister in law. And no the aunt does not have any kids. It is very sad to see her like this. She was the care taker of so many people and when push comes to shove it is me and my one sister in law and the other two come out to jersey when they can.
Kellie do well in Running camp she finished 29 out of 74 students that was including high schoolers and she had never done running camp before.
I had registered for one class but was dropped because I didn't pay soon enough. Then I went to speak with the counselors office and was told I won't be able to get a job with a certificate and I need a masters. I am going to finish the certificate program and see what happens with that. I started it so I might as well finish it. May not be done before 12/14,
I am still looking for a job and hopefully I will find one. I am not a happy camper these day on so many levels. I am hoping getting a job will help.
Carrie: Sorry about your basement, and the Kittens. Wow. that is going to be a lot of kitty litter.
Keep pushing forward and drink that water. Good luck everyone.

Well, my Kat that just had Mika and Zoe in March, gave birth to 7 more on Monday.. I now have 11 cats and 1 dog in my house!!! I didn't know she was pregnant. She was acting kind of witchy to the dog and to Mika and Zoe for a few weeks. She always eats like a horse so that wasn't unusual.. My son said she got out once while I was a work a while back but she wasn't gone for more than a couple of hours.. Guess that was long enough! I don't know whether to laugh or cry! My local pet store said to take pictures of them and they would display them on their counter. They've had quite a few adoptions happen that way, so I'm hoping they will all go! Kat, Mika and Zoe were scheduled to get spayed in August. I wanted them to all go in at once.. Mika and Zoe are just too playful so I figured it would be best if they were all just zonked out at once rather than cause injury to one another.. So that's the deal...The new little ones have taken up residence in my tiny bathroom...fun fun!

I cut back on the Aleve to once a day and I am trying to stretch my calves..I figure that they are one big tight mess.
