“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Great challenge Lita! I think learning to say No is critical to success.
I haven't eaten fast food in several weeks-that was a big NO for me to say-it is so easy with 3 popular chains right across the street-been packing my lunch and it is so much better!
Soda-I don't think of it as saying NO, so much as saying, not today. I think I have had 3 diet soda's in the past 4 months-drinking a lot more water
Sitting around-this seems to have become a natural progression, my DH even observed last week that I "fiddle" around a lot more than I did 4 months ago. He told me he really noticed how I fidget and find little things to do and seem to always be moving
Woo HOO--Thanks for the challenge!

NO second helpings today

NO eating fast foods. (slow cooked in my home)

NO vending machine around here

NO sitting too long. It's improving for being down for a month.

Being retired, I use my evening time for TV and computer time. I do activities in the afternoon.

How about you all?

Happy Thursday to you!

Here is a recent suggestion that I just loved. Your challenge today is to JUST SAY NO!

Say NO to:

*Second helpings

*Fats & sugars that you don't need (i.e. in your coffee, butter instead of jam, frying instead of broiling/grilling, etc.)

*Eating fast food instead of making something healthy

*Buying from the vending machine

*Staying sedentary - GET MOVING!

*Taking on more than you can chew (I don't mean food either)

*Watching television or sitting at the computer all evening after work

Should you JUST SAY NO to something and want to brag - go right ahead! We want to hear about your day.

Have a FANTASTIC Thursday!
