“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

I think I tend to pamper myself with something every day. When one is retired, one gets so busy the day seems to fly. I enjoyed playing cards this afternoon with a group of men & women. Slept in this morning.

I decided that I would take a break from starting my day on the computer, so I spent the first 1 1/2 hours reading a book that I have been working on.

Next I decided that I would work on my motivational poster. Work on it I did. I spent most of 10 hours sitting cross-legged on the floor reaching for my scissors & glue. (Unfortunately, I got so focused that I didn't eat as I should.) I have a hunch that a long relaxing bath may also be in the works, as my back hurts from sitting like that all day.

Tommorow's a new day to get things back on track. Phone interview for a job. I also hope to hear from a couple of the other employers that I interviewed with before Chirstmas & the New Year's holidays.

Not much time for pampering today...once in a while I love taking a long hot soak in the tub. Lately, since acquiring my son's old iPhone I've re-discovered the wonderful world of books and reading. With my iPhone I find more time for reading when I ordinarily would be waiting in line or otherwise fiddling my thumbs...been enjoying Stephen King's "Under the Dome". Recently ready Little Bee by Chris Cleave...what a stellar book that was!

Another inspiring book I recent read was Joel Fuhrman's "Eat To Live," have been using this to get me back to bulking up on my non-starchy veggies! :-)

Happy Thursday to you!

Your challenge today is to PAMPER YOU! Take time out of your day to spoil yourself. Simple ways you can do this are:

*Sleep in
*Take a nap
*Take a relaxing bubble bath
*Buy something for yourself
*Rent a special movie or go see one
*Buy a healthy food you rarely buy
*Ask family or friends to make YOU dinner for once

Whatever you decide to do today, make sure to
take time for YOU.

Have a great Thursday everyone!
