Happy Monday to you!
1) Get some paper, scissors, and a pen
2) Find a jar, small box, or small container
3) Cut your paper into strips. You should get about 20 on a 8x11 sheet
4) Come up with ideas of things you can do INSTEAD OF EATING RIGHT NOW
The idea here is that when you are bored, frustrated, sad, angry, etc. and ARE NOT REALLY HUNGRY (your tummy isn't growling), you pull a slip of paper from your jar/box, etc. to do.
Whatever is on the paper, you can do INSTEAD OF EATING. Here are some ideas to get you started:
*Brush/put whitening strips on your teeth
*Do your nails
*Go for a walk
*Write a letter or e-mail
*Drink a big glass of water
*Call a friend
*Write a blog entry
*Clean out a closet
*Balance your checkbook
*Wash the car
*Clean the bathtub
Okay team, it is your turn to throw out ideas.
These ideas STILL HELP ME when I am feeling weak and my pantry is calling to me.
Remember: Have your container accessible. You may even want to have one at home, and one at work.
Keep your jar/box/etc. full of ideas "just in case". This is your healthy journey lifesaver.
When you go to your container INSTEAD OF FOOD, you are staying on track and getting that much closer to goal. YOU CAN DO THIS!
Have a great Monday!

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
