Happy Monday to you!
Your challenge today is to eat 5-9 fruits & vegetables.
*The average American consumer eats only about three servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
*Forty-two percent eat less than two servings a day. Compare those figures with the five to nine servings a day recommended by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and you can see that many of us have a way to go.
1)Buy fresh fruits and vegetables in season. Not only will they be cheaper but they also will be at their flavor and nutritional peaks
2)Clip coupons for money off on your favorite canned and frozen fruits and vegetables and juices.
3)Watch local grocery advertisements for reduced prices on your favorite fruits and vegetables.
4)If you're not partial to a particular brand, compare prices of different brands of canned and frozen fruits and vegetables and juices and buy the cheapest.
Let's get in our 5-9 today.
Have a Monumental Monday!
“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
