Happy Wednesday to you!
We fill our lives with family, work, and the needs of others. We put our health and happiness on the "back burner" in hopes that we will get to it in the future. One day, we realize that we have gone up several sizes and don't recognize the face in the mirror (or the hips trying to squeeze into our favorite jeans).
Today's challenge is to give ourselves a PERSONAL PEP-TALK. Each and every one of us is special. We are beautiful (even with our love-handles) and have unique qualities. Most of the time, we push this beauty aside and criticize ourselves. NOT TODAY!
Your challenge is to think of FIVE things that are great about YOU. When someone gets to know you, what would they say about you? What is something about your body that you like? What is something about your personality that you like. COME UP WITH 5 THINGS!
Your second challenge is to think of 3 positive things that you would like to accomplish by the end of the year. They could be related to your health, your finances, your spirituality, your education, etc. Don't make them insanely hard to accomplish in 6 months time (i.e. "I will climb Mt. Everest without oxygen by year end...") Make them 3 goals that you can achieve when you put your mind to them.
YOU ARE SPECIAL! YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.....WE BELIEVE IN YOU!

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
