Great on the snow shovelling! Rah rah! on the dancing.
Even though I recently lost my wonderful job and have been feeling depressed I "pressed on" and forced myself out there to exercise...My total for this month was 1104 minutes! I'm glad our March challenge includes weight training as I am one to let that part of my workout go and I recently attended an exercise seminar. Weights are HUGE in weightloss as muscle burns more calories AND it allows a person to eat more w/o gaining weight!

Question
I use a pedometer during the day so I can get my steps / cal and walking time. I take it off when I am on the treadmill so I can get my time/ cal & miles on that. Question is should I keep it on or take it off as I am doing. I just don't want it to look like I have walked more then I do if that makes sense. Thanks for any help you can give

It's not easy all the time. I am up at around 5am and get my sit ups and my strengthening exercises done and then I track my walking on my Pedometer all day till 8 or 9 pm. I work long days 8 am till 10pm 7 days a week as I & my husband manager a small Motel.

WOW!

I must say I'm impressed, everyone! :) I thought I was kicking ass with my i-hope-i-make-1500-mins (which is about twice what I may usually do, lol) but I'm not even in the top 25 for fitness mins this month. There are some seriously active folks in this group! You rock! However DO you fit it all in?

I don't have time to do the things I can do, so it doesn't seem important to worry about the things I can't do.

Someone had told me(Don) that once you get to the post you want to edit your info on..like this page for example...at the top of your screen hit edit(next to file)--then find...type in your screen name find next and it should get you to your post..there you can hit edit and just add in your info...for those who care to know how to do that---I found it helpful.

I figured out that the constant cardio in "kayaking" really burns the calories. Plus it's sooo peaceful.
