I get the bakery to cut a whole wheat loaf of bread on the horizontal and then cut off the crusts, smother the slices in homemade hummus, roll up and slice to create spiral sandwiches. I have also had great success with cucumber/cream-cheese/dill. they are so easy and they're always the first thing to disappear! ( I feed the crusts to the birdies:) )

I think this time of year when it is cold out people like something comforting and warm. I bring a home made vegetable soup or a vegan chili. If there is salad people can enjoy a warm bowl of chili or soup with a salad.
