Just like I almost fainted when Thai Vegan restaurant opened here in
Albuquerque???!!!! It's my favorite restaurant (of course) and they
recently opened a second location in the UNM/Nob Hill area at 3804 Central
SE. Everything on their menu is wonderful. Besides typical Thai food
there also several "American" dishes on their menu, several wraps, a
"pork chop" entrée, salads, and french fries. All dishes are made using
tofu, "soy chicken", "soy pepper steak", or "soy fish".

I'm like Vegfrog and wishing I lived in Arizona again! (I once temporarily stayed in Phoenix for one month.)

Kate--Your new resterant sounds cool! I'd probably faint if I ever saw a vegan resterant in my neck of the woods! No such thing here!

Coincidentally, my new restaurant is called The Green Thumb. Green is Good!

Some people think the “plant-based whole foods diet” is extreme. Half a million a year will have their chests opened up and a vein taken from their leg and sewn onto their coronary artery. Some people would call that extreme.

Hi:

Speaking of finding restaurants - I found a great and very busy vegetarian
restaurant in San Antonio. While my husband and I were in San Antonio for
a few days last week, we stumbled on Green. The food was SO good we
ate there for lunch two days in a row! They have a fantastic "neat loaf"!

Julz, I'm so happy for you! Just this week I found a VEGAN restaurant in my small, southern city - and it's downtown where I work. Previously, I couldn't even find restaurants that had even one vegan dish. SO excited!

I am so excited for you!!! What a great holiday gift!

This almost makes me wish I still lived in the Phoenix area.
(I moved away 9 years ago.) Please report on the store
when you can.

Thank you!!!

If you're in Phoenix, come to the grand opening party of VegCo tomorrow, Sunday Dec 2nd, noon to 2pm. 1300 N Central Ave (just north of McDowell).

VegCo is an all vegan (zero animal products), mostly organic, no-GMO market! I am excited to visit and see what they have to offer.

If you're on facebook, here's a link to the event:
