Hi folks, I recently started juicing. I am on an unofficial juice fast right now so, that kinda makes me a raw foodist right now I suppose. I have done this for two big reasons. Hoping you guys with juicing experience will throw me your favorite recipes. I've discovered mean green juice and I love it.
The first reason I started juicing was for my wife. In short, she had stomach surgery due to an ulcer from medication she has been taking for over ten years. Her doctor said she could no longer be a vegetarian. Much of the time she can't eat solid food at all. They have her on a permanent "low fiber" diet. So, to give her well rounded nutrition I juice about three times a day. She is really enjoying the veggie juice. Even though her doctor told her not to be a vegetarian she still doesn't eat meat very often. In fact, I can't think of the last time she ate a meal that contained meat. I don't tell her how she should eat. I figure she's a full grown adult and can decide what she needs to do.
The second reason is that a few days ago I started having hives in the evenings for no explainable reason. So, I have been Juice fasting to see what happens. It got worse initially but, seems to be improving. I didn't do this to lose weight but, it wouldn't hurt my feelings to lose a few pounds. If I could lose ten to twenty pounds that would be cool.
