LOL! I don't know where MY fat is melting from, but I think its some place that NOBODY can see (certainly not me)!! My dh says my face has gotten thinner-- 20 lbs worth?!!

Anything worth having is worth fighting for

Funny you should mention back fat. I was gonna use an example of how spot reduction doesn't work in my earlier post.
I never used to do any back exercises whatsoever in my workouts but that was the first place I noticed fat loss. I just reached back one day to scratch an itch and noticed that the fat on my back above my waist had smoothed out. Figures it would melt away where I can't see the difference.

Put on some upbeat music.
If you find yourself dancing in your seat, take it a step further. Get up and start dancing on your feet.
You'll burn more calories that way.

I'm gonna second what Ohhhchelle said. When you do cardio, the fat that you burn is distributed throughout your body. Although there are exercises you can do to tone the muscle, you don't get to target which fat gets burned off. Some areas (like the hips and thighs) were designed by nature to pack on fat for storage purposes in women, and unfortunately they can be more difficult (but not impossible) to get rid of! There are articles here on SP about weight loss and fat-burning 'myths' you guys might want to check out.

So the long and short of it is, rev up your cardio!

P.S. The inner thigh fat is one thing, but I also hate the 'back fat"-- totally GROSS!!

I have the inner fat thighs too and I hate them. I am going to have to get some of the dvd's you guys suggest. Anything to help with these rubbing thighs :-)

LOL, soror notice is not the word, since I have had mine for decades, lol. They are old friends of mine that refuse to leave me. They are like Bebe kids, lol. I wish I had a solution, but no matter what my thighs are doing, my lil friends keep on hanging on.

No more excuses!!!

You guys have me cracking up.

To reduce wiggly, jiggly, bumpy, bulgy inner thigh fat (or any fat anywhere) you need to do cardio. Inner thigh exercises will tone and strengthen your thigh muscles but you'll end up with tone thigh muscles covered with fat. Spot reduction is a myth. So... get busy walking, running, dancing, jumping, skipping...

I only use dvds at home. For lower body, I would suggest:

Trainer's Edge: Killer Butt
Any of the Ripped Workouts especially Slim and Lean with the pulses
Pilates workouts to help tone the lower body:
Crunch Super Slimdown
Burn and Firm Pilates
Pick your Level - Weight Loss Pilates
10 minute Solution - Pilates or Rapid Results Pilates
Prevention: Slim, Strong and Firm

You guys are so funny! LOL. emoticon I agree about the walk away the pounds dvd. I have leslie sansones 5 in one workout. When I did the first mile which allows you to use your arms for coordination, I tell you my arms hurt so bad. I guess this is better than walking. But the inner thigh problem is a problem for me. They not only rub but they get chaf. Do any of you know about that. It hurts sometimes and I have to use noxema or something to take away that. Anyway I have purchased some band weights which looks like a jump robe. Any suggestions on that? Also I purchased a old item called the thigh master. You know you put it between your thighs and squeese. Is that safe? And will that take away the inner thigh demons. I sometimes want to keep my legs open for air, but not around men emoticon Help!!! You know a sista needs some help down there! Any advice is helpful. Yall got me worked up now like the movie called the klumps with eddie murphy. I feel so vulnerable like grandma said emoticon

Squats and lunges, walking and Walk away the pounds dvds. Trust me they help. You lose that thigh fat :-)

Me too.. And that little flabby meat rubs together when I run. So, to help with the rubbing, I vaseline them up before I go out. This week, I've been side walking (turning my body side ways, walk and bring my legs together) on the treadmill to help with the inner thighs.

I have a problem with that also. But my mother had more than I did. She went to a exercise and weight clinic in Michigan when I was about 10, and she was told to lay on the floor with you knees bent and slap your thighs together. This helped to reduce the fat.

Yes!!! Yes!!!! Yes!!!! I have those fat pockets and they look horrible, I guess you have to do inner thigh excerises?
