Yep, evil and are the Devil. I find that Agave is tasteless like it doesn't have a taste at all so I never used it again after I had used it once in my oats. What does Agave nectar supposed to taste like?
I've always been a fan of the 'real-thing'. When I drank soda I didn't drink the diet flavors - or anything else "diet" my theory was idk what this 'stuff' is. I'm now officially weened off of sugar & creamers in my tea & coffee-- it gets easier after each sip!

I was lmao when you called me TT because years ago I had a dog I nameded TT after my exhusband's name Thomas Tracey. I had to give him up and my ex was upset(even though I was the one taking care of him) I had a talk with my dog when he first came here, when it comes down to my home and my yard, some one was going to have to go and it wasn't gonna be me,when he was 6 months old be was standing on his hind legs trying to kiss me and I am 5"5", he was as tall as me and I said, "if you'll this tall standing at 6 months damn! how big will you be in another 6 months", so I evenually got rid of the dog and the husband....ok! still lmao!
What a thoughtful and beautiful letter! You have made my day! I love the Foodlovers program and it works for me. It is a very common sense approach and it is so funny, in the book he talks against using artificial sweeteners like Splenda and I blew it off. Now, I should have listened because I a one of those people who it affected negatively. He proposes you use things like Agave Nectar which I love now, but frankly, I am just no feeling sweets so much or even "fast carbs". Back in the article that I listed, the OBG-YN mentions how Splenda and artifical sweeteners cause people to crave and eat more simple carbs..I am a BELIEVER NOW!!! lol Good luck! First I would like to say YOU GO GIRL! for taking that leap of figuring things out and losing that 32lbs You seem to be like me and reserch on yourself to find out what causes what, when things are not going well with you. I have just recieved the Foodlover diet just the other day in the mail and will get right on it as soon as possible. I hope for it to be a pleasurable experince for me as well as it was for you. I am determine to beat this thing call obesity and be the Queen I was really born to be, to live a long and healthier life and be here for whenver someone decides to make me a great-grandmother some day. I wish you all the luck for continueing sucess in the future with your weight and any other goals you may have thought of. I can go on and on of the different things that I can not have even if it was good for my diet they just don't agree with my body or cause some kind of reaction or something and I just leave well enough alone cause sometimes you can get sick and tired of being sick and tired and I know you know what I mean. I have been off of Splenda for about 6 days now, I cannot tell you how much better I feel. The bloating from my stomach is gone as well as the gassiness, but what I am most amazed at is the lack of appetite I have. I have been doing Foodlovers and lost 32 pounds. I was still eating by the principle, but just not as strict, so I lose much slower now which is fine by me. In any case, when I changed over exclusively to Splenda for drinks, jams, light ice cream etc..I noticed I was "craving" more "fast carbs" in my diet plan. I had MORE HUNGER which was manageable because my diet plan has me eat every 2 to 3 hours, but I only started working out about 2 weeks ago and I was becoming RAVENOUS. So, I am always looking for scientific research and/or studies or surveys about weight and I came upon several articles about Splenda and artiticial sweeteners that made SENSE for my BODY CHEMISTRY. My hubby can eat artificial sweeteners and have no problems whatsoever, but he can also consume caffeine ( I cannot, it makes me severaly ill); he can eat soy (severe reaction for me) and yada, yada.. Here is an article that opened my eye for me and it is by an OBG-YN. For many people, artificial sweeteners are no big deal. I am just not one of them:
Also, I noticed that the more Splenda products I ate, the more I wanted to eat sweet and I am not a "sweet eater" naturally. I always have preferred fat and salt which is what I can attribute a lot of my weight issues over the years to...I love BUTTER and MAYO..and CHEESE..always preferred it over cookies, cakes and pies, but when I began to see that "flipping" with my increased use of Splenda, I knew it was time to get it out of my diet. I now exclusively drink water and skim milk. I allow myself 1 glass of PURE JUICE, CITRUS, a day..no High Fructose COrn syrup or Sugar added. My cravings for sweets are back where they were before I started using Splenda. I don't care for them but every so often. I could encourage people to try and experiment with their use of artificial sweeteners.
