I know of people who have used Curves and it's worked for them. I belonged to one back in 2004, in Wisconsin, and I stopped going after a few months, but I generally stop going to gyms. I prefer to work out at home or outdoors. I did like it, though. It's circuit-training, where you do stations. I think they're 30 seconds or a minute each (been awhile, can't remember exactly), and they switch from cardio to ST every other one. The more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it. I think they weighed me every month as well, though I think I could also opt out of that. They didn't really hassle me all that much, though. Not sure about the membership fee. I think it was reasonable, but I didn't pay much attention because mine was reimbursed through my company.
